Might as well go after them if they lie and waste your time. Either Niello in Sacramento or Fresno Acura would have been better choices. Niello would certainly have given you a better price.
I so wish I could go back in time and buy the car from another dealer. The only reason I bought the car from Pleasanton was because I got a deal. My friend's boss recommended a salesguy at the dealer and said he would take care of us. His boss owns several dealerships in the bay area, but not this one. Still we thought we were safe and would be taken care of. How wrong we were.

What upsets me more than this whole cat and mouse game is that my loyalty with Honda/Acura has been forever shattered. The TL-S is the only car I ever said that I have to own. I love it. But I don't want to risk reliving this hellish nightmare again.

Even though I have never been a fan of Toyota products, Lexus is starting to look better everyday. Mainly because I know they will take care of me and they have the track record to prove it.

I seriously hope that Acura turns their whole company around. Beside the terrible customer service that I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy, the designs that their CA design studio are churning out are downright hideous. See I'd be open for the dealer giving me a brand new car, but not when they look so ugly.

Hope I don't offend any 4th gen owners, but I don't like anything about this car except for the integrated iPod controls. That's about it...

I'll try to update this thread later this afternoon when the car is picked up. Or not picked up which has been happening lately.

I've heard that as well, but apparently it's the way to get arbitration started. We have contacted a lawyer as well.

Got the car back. I wasn't at the dealer, but apparently it was another stressful day. The paint looks better, but you can still see the halo marks. I think we're basically done with the dealer for now.

So we'll leave it up to the arbitration process.

Oh and one more defect that I completely forgot about. The paint on the passenger side bumper, just about where it meets the fender, is defective. It's like they didn't spray enough clear coat or base coat. Not quite sure, but it's not correct. That is the factory's fault not the dealer.

who the hell detailed that car, a 12 year old with a sandy towel? That's wrong; even being just a viewer of this is making me mad. Call up the news stations and raise hell, you don't mess around with a man's car that much.

That's butchered. It's going to take someone hours to remove all that.

Don't waste your time with the BBB. They are in business to support the companies that pay their membership fee. BBB is a complete waste.

You can fight the dealer and Acura, lose alot of time and heartache or you can cut your losses and trade it in for a different car from a different company. If the dealer isn't willing to give you a fair trade towards another Acura, I'd shop Lexus or BMW and be done with it.

I bought an 02 Maxima lemon when it first came out and 2 years later after fighting nonstop with the dealer, I traded it in for my 1st TL and never looked back. Yes I lost some money, but I was happy to be rid of the problems. Life is too short to stress out over a car. Get rid of it while you can!
