5QTS of M1 & M1 filter - $29.99
Advance Auto is having another special on Mobil 1 again. The special includes a Mobil 1 filter (value up to $13.99) and 5 Qts of Mobil 1 including Extended Performance which all of you should be trying to grab. The offer ends June 24 so you have some time, but I know ext. performance goes quickly..

Ehhh not really a deal. I just picked up the extended performance 5qt jug from Walmart last weekend for $11 so if you add on the $13.99 for the filter it should be $25. Now if this was M1 synthetic which runs $22 at Walmart then I think it would be a deal.

They had two 5w 30's, one said 5,000 mile extended performance and as far as I can remember said nowhere on there it was synthetic. And then of course there's M1 Synthetic which usually runs $22 for a 5qt jug. The one thing I am positive about is that the bottle said what I stated in the first sentence and it was $11. I just tried to look online but Walmart's website is retarted. LOL!

This is a pretty good deal. Considering Mobil1 Synthetic is anywhere from $5-$7/qt and filters run $10-$15, this is hard to pass up. I'll be buying enough oil for the next 5 years!

That is a reasonable deal, too bad I just did an oil change 3 days ago.. I prefer to go with the 5 qt jug just for the ease of it.. I've always gone to Walmart for the 5 qt jug and M1-110 filter, but they are ALWAYS out of the 5W-20 jugs and this last time they were even out of the 5W-30 jugs.. Now it appears my local store clearanced out all of the mobil 1 filters (anyone else notice this?) so I guess I'm done going to Walmart for oil anymore.

Good deal for those like Mobil 1 product, those EP is really a good deal.
I remember Kragen had similar deal 1 year ago.
I personally will pass though, here's my calculation.
Take Walmart for pricing reference:
The Valvoline SynPower SAE 5W-30 is available for about $21 -$22 / 5 Quart jug. Purolator Pure one (not the white one but the yellow one) filter you can get it $10 / 2 unit.
That is $22 + $5 = $27
And this is not on sale, it's a regular price.
Someone may question the quality of the Valvoline synpower and Purolator.
Now according to BMW: http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...ngineOils.aspx
The oils listed below meet BMW's Long-life rating and are acceptable for use in BMW Passenger vehicles and SAVs in the US market with gasoline engines.
BMW Long-life rating LL-01 Approved Synthetic Oils for the US Market:
* Castrol Syntec European Formula SAE 0W-30
* Mobil 1 SAE 0W-40
* Pennzoil Platinum European Formula Ultra SAE 5W-30
* Valvoline SynPower SAE 5W-30
Hey, i 'm thinking if it's good for Bimmer's 12-13 k OCI, also it's 335's turbo, it should be good for our J-series right?
PureONE Oil Filters are 99.9% Efficient when measuring using ISO 4548-12 at 20 microns. And Mobil 1 filter achieve 99.4... something like that, not that it makes a difference, just saying if comparing number to number seems Purolator is better. Also i personally love the sanded surface of the Purolator, really grippy, no tools needed to put in or take out filter.

Three Wheelin'
Yea I know we have both advanced autoparts and autozone depending on what part of Texas you are in but as I recall one of my auto teachers told me they were pretty much the same company but dunno. Anyway I buy M1 from Wal Mart and filter from a parts store usually M1 unless I get enough money and go Amsoil which will most likely be my next change =D. I do have another 5 quart of M1 5w20 chillin in my room though lol.

Good luck getting 5W-20 there. I went the last time they had this deal to 3 Autozone's and they had no M1EP in 5W-20 (one location even claimed mobile didn't make it in 5W-20), and they wouldn't even order me any. And the regular M1, they only had 4 qts in stock at 1 location, 2 at another, and none at the 3rd, and again, they wouldn't even order them for me. I was told "Friday is teh day the truck comes, we'll have it in then for sure", well I'd come on friday and nothing. All bs...

But Autozone right now has 5qts of M1EP and a Bosch filter for $34.99.
