But back on topic, I thought the Type-S can hit 160, maybe you had the windows rolled down and added extra resistance?

TL-S is governend at 155 like other TL's and the RL/MDX are governed at 120. You can defeat the limiter using the APEXI RSM.

I thought that i had heard somewhere that we were governed at 152. I've had mine up to about the 140-145 mark. But that was on a road trip out of town. Long straight road, nothing but cornfields to either side of you (for miles - never did see a house or anything)

Let me tell ya something. At the 140+ mark, the road I was on wasn't as smooth as I first thought it was.

Good fun though

Yep, I also hit 158 Mph 3 times. I had a 99 TL.

I did it in:

- 2001, In some State road in florida, from west palm beach lake okechobee.

- 2002, coming back from arizona thru new mexico, I think it was the I10, all I remember was passing cars and seeing electric wind power mills. We made a rest stop and some guy we passed, after stoping there a few minutes later, asked me at what speed was I going ? He said 120??? I said 159 Mph

- 2003 In germany on the Autobahn A6 driving to frankfurt.

I'm pretty sure I hit 140 in a lot of places and my average driving speed while traveling in germany( station there from 2003-2006) was 130 Mph.

in the military they ship your car, where ever you are stationed. Like Japan, Germany, Italy, spain, etc. Except remote locations like Korea, Iraq, turkey.

If not that expensive to ship a car overseas, is more about the laws. In the military since the hosting country knows you are only there temporary, you are sort of excluded from their safety and registration laws.
