Does anyone else out there seem to think the Chevy Volt looks like the TL? From this picture there are a lot of similarities.

 

yea it looks similar but because of the skinny headlights ... in that case the new ford taurus would look like a tl ... i think its just a new thing in car designing, and i think the taurus and volt front end are more similar to the 4g than the 3g TL IMO

Yes, I did figure out how to post the picture. From the angle of the volt, it looks like the TL, the grill and headlights has similarities.

 

yes, i've noticed with their current malibu.
Econoboxes are stealing design cues from higher end cars.

Those parking lights really look like the TL's.

Will the Volt have HIDs? The Tesla doesn't which is crazy since they draw less power. You'd think with electric cars it would be standard. LED dash and HID headlights, and LED tail lights increase their range.

Yep. I've thought that from the first time I saw the Volt. It almost looks like it uses actual TL headlights.

 

I thought that car and the front end of the new taurus reminds me of the front of the TL.

 

On an off topic note...
The Chevy Cruze looks like an Acura CSX [JDM Honda Civic] mated with a Honda Accord.
(I've seen it in person in August as the Daewoo Lacetti).

Their design team must like HondAcuras.

 

Yup. I thought the same thing when I saw them. The thought triggered again when I was watching an episode of MotorWeek about the Volt.

For some reason, when I look at the Ford Fusion's taillights, I see 3G taillights, too, but maybe I'm overthinking this. lol.
