Hi everyone, looking to purchase mud guards for my 2006 Acura TL (base)...I noticed that the 2007-2008 OEM TL mud guards are sold painted to match the color of your car, 2 questions;

1) Will painted 07-08 mud guards fit on my 2006 base TL? I really like the fact that the mud guards match the car in the 07-08 models & would like to purchase 4 Anthracite Metallic mud flaps (if they have that color in splash guards)

2) I know that Type-S mud guards are not compatible with base mud guards, so if I were to just go with the cheap black OEM mud guards made for the 06 base TL, do you have any suggestions for websites with the best prices? Maybe trying the junk yards near my house on Long Island? I'm not looking to spend $100 on 4 pieces of plastic, haha.

I found these on eBay for $35 but after contacting the seller, he said these do not fit on BASE TL

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-FACTORY-...76070d&vxp=mtr

So ultimately, I'm looking to either get the painted 07-08 mud guards (will probably have to fork over the $100 for them painted) or just get the 06 base OEM black plastic mud flaps for cheap cheap at a local junk yard or online..

also, forgot to mention, is this the part# I should be searching for when looking for the black OEM plastic set of 4? 08p00-sep-201

I noticed if purchasing just the front ones or the rear, there is different part #'s...maybe I can find a better price if purchasing separately?

sorry to post AGAIN, but the edit button is not available for some reason?

I noticed that the 2007-2008 TL's do not come in Anthracite Metallic, therefore I don't think I can purchase painted mud flaps for my TL

The closest color I saw that matches my car for 07-08 TL's is Polished Metal Metallic or Carbon Bronze Pearl...

So if I can't get Anthracite Metallic mud flaps for my '06 TL, would you consider looking at the Polished Metal Metallic mud flaps from the '08TL or will the color be off to the point where it is noticeable? Looks like my only choice is the unpainted black mud flaps...better than no mud flaps, I guess

Carbon bronze does not and won't match. You really want mud flaps that bad? I have never had much crap fling up from the road on my TL to justify making it look weird. Don't do it and wash your car once a week.

Mine came from the factory with them color matched....black lol. I took the fronts off, they would scrape everything with just 1.5" lowering.

I can't stand them, but IF I had them they would 100% FOR SURE be color-keyed !!!

But thats just me. We all have different taste. Some will agree with me, some won't.

I dont care what anybody wants. I know what I like, and I do what I do.

I did see someone back in '09 was selling some polished metal metallic & mentioned that it was barely noticeable (matched very well) when put on an AM (Anthracite Metallic TL)... I really would like mud flaps on my TL despite many saying it looks better & will be fine w/o, our streets here in the northeast have plenty of sand and small pebbles which get kicked up on the car at fast speeds so I think I'm going to check out the PMM 07-08 mud flaps at a dealership and if they match, look for em online for $100 shipped, hopefully!

I really don't want the stock unpainted black ones that come with 04-06 TL's, I can agree that those are an eyesore on the car!
