3rd gear grind again!!!

Okay so I went to the local GM dealer and they told me that this is the new syncro mesh can anyone comfirm this rumor befor I spend an hour and possibly waste 45$
old part# 12377916
new part# 88900399 white bottle it does say friction reducer on the bottle

Well I'm glad you asked. I cannot believe how easy it was to change out the fluid but I did drop the top fill bolt and took me about 15 min to find the bolt that really sucked. But I drove the car around 50 miles afterwards and didn't have 1 3rd gear pop out it was great! i would have 1 in about 10 shifts before. Also my car is an 05 with 59K miles on it I just bought it a week ago and love it

Holy cow! That seems very early to have that problem. I've never had any problem like that and I've almost got 100k more miles on my car!

Anyway, I'm glad you had an easy time changing the fluid! That stuff is awesome.

I had the same issue when I purchased the car with 19k miles. Only happened maybe 1 in ten times... Usually when driving hard and u need it to go in gear! Go the gm juice and no problems anymore!

Mine did it when I got the car at 53k. The GM fluid resolved it and made 2nd gear much less notchy.
