3G TL-S Interior Appearance Question
Not quite sure what the proper forum to put this in would be.......
I've got a '07 TL-S w/ WDP exterior and the ebony/parchment interior. I really like the two tone interior but think the seats which are all parchment lack something and don't really blend as well w/ the rest of the interior.
I was thinking of 2 things - coloring (paint? marker?) the Type S black in the headrest, or swapping these headrests out for black ones (all 4). How do you guys think this will look? Which one would you go with?

I thought the two-tone & carbon fiber goes very well with the NBP color that I have ... no regrets ... even though there is no more wood trim in the cabin ...

Headrests are gonna be like $400+, you might be able to score leather skins for a few bills (they were on ebay a while ago). Junkyards won't sell em seperately from the seat, unless the seat is trashed... and it's only 2007. There aren't any in any yards yet, so that's kinda futile.
I'm doing a 2 tone thing on mine too (2006 parchment). I replaced the lower door sills, lower A, B, C pillars and the rear deck with black pieces. I replaced all the wood (doors and console) with CF pieces, and replaced the grab handles, visor mounts, sunroof handle, rear upper map light, glove box handle, and all the seat button controls with black pieces.
I have a really cool 2 tone thing going now.
Only thing left for me is to replace the front overhead map lights trim with a black one (stupid black one is ONLY sold with the bluetooth module, opposed to a $10 part in any other color), and the "door seals" in black ( I have a tan stripe bisecting the black door trim and door plates...
I thought about the headrests too... I was figuring, with a black dash, and black rear deck, tied together with this line of lower A,B,C pillars in black, a black headrest would really look neat as everything in the"dash/deck plane" is black.
I decided against it though, I think it would look out of place on the seat.
With some nice footwell leds, lots of custom blue led mods, and all the AV work I have, I can almost declare victory on the interior. MUCH sportier and too myliking
Yes, I've put way too much thought into this...
I said the same thing until I got my parchment 06...
Black leather never again... unless I live in Canada. Black/silver looks sharp, that's the only way I'd go with black again.

I've got a call out to a local interior guy.....I'm thinking of having the Type S in the headrest stitched w/ black and some red. I'll see what he says and see what he thinks.
