Let's not forget the Santa Ana raid where they joked about beating a disabled woman, ate pot brownies, stole money and possibly weed, and tried to knock down all surveillance cameras and disable the system

I was in bed in my 1st apartment...had just moved out...saw first plane and was like, there's no way that's a mistake. Then 2nd one...
then I cried.

Feels like yesterday...very eerie.

So i got stuck on Long Island for longer than planned due to the roads etc being closed down to the city, Man i remember when i finally got to go through city and there was still just smoke n ashes....so weird. still remember looking and seeing nothing from a distance while i had Incubus playing in my headphones. It jumbled my travel plans and i ended up flying from NYC to ATL the first day they started flying again....weirdest experience ever! only like 6 people on the entire flight, everyone on plane was like super nice and accommodating. Having grown up in Belfast i was used to the high security so that wasn't an issue. just super surreal and also since i wasn't able to call back to Ireland to tell my folks i missed my bus due to the phone lines crashing from volume my parents were freaking.

sorry for sounding like Mystery Maha there....

Not here!

Well.. the feds are working on it... apparently. I'm hoping by March - May, there is clear indication as to which direction this is all heading. Supposed to be legal by then, but we shall see.

Yessir! Competition is bad for business. Feds not only want full control, but all the profits, er, taxes, associated with it.

fuck... 9/11 remembrance thread? I remember a week before, I was supposed to go to visit New York with my dad's company and all their families. a few families didn't make it to airport on time so the whole tour got cancelled (stupid if you ask me) i was FURIOUS...

a few days later, I woke up before heading to school and saw on the news... It was very sobering even as a 7th grader.

Damn... there was this girl I worked with that passed away today.

Ended up being diagnosed with a tumor of some sort, some time last year. She was on a trip with her SO when she went into a seizure for no reason. Took her to the hospital to find a large sized tumor. It was kept pretty hush hush around the office, so I never had any of the specifics. They kept her office though, even though everyone knew she likely wouldn't be coming back. I think it was a gesture to not only the coworkers, but to her as well- she was around here for many years and very good at what she did and they wanted to show that she would always have a place to come back to, if she chose.

She was in her very early 30s.

You're not listening. No one is telling you to open anything. Everyone is telling you to create a business plan.

You want money from the bank? you'd better have a business plan.

Dispensaries are legal. You can only sell to people with licences though. $20 says they were selling to anyone. That's why they got shut down.

Yup, and revisions to the business plan need to occur often. Especially while the laws are in limbo. You can make educated assumptions for stuff that is unknown. Once it is known, gotta update!

I watched episodes 1 and 2 last night. So looking forward to seeing the rest. I know how it ends, but the story is just crazy. And all the bloodshed... when you hear about Pablo killing thousands, it just sounds like a statistic. When you start seeing people being executed at point blank range, it's like "whoa... "

She battled hard... I think she battled for a little over a year. The surgeries, the chemo, whatever else... man... at least she's not suffering anymore.

I remember coming across Matt's thread also. That was pretty crazy and it made me think of her when I read it, wondering if she would get to a point where she could laugh about it in the end. Just reminds us how short and precious our time here is!

20 bucks cmon lol.....adam as far as I know he was only selling to ppl with med licence he made sure to make things go 100% by the book.... my gfs gad has MS and has a med licence and he popped in but it was super expensive.... Although I'm sure a lot of his stuff was going out the back door if you know what I mean..... You have to remember that New Brunswick is behind the times man, its not like BC or AB when it comes to that stuff.

I never took business so I dont know much about that stuff, not going to lie there... However I do know a very smart and successful business man that is ready to jump on this opportunity....What I do know is how to grow/extract/distribute and I know my shit about every kind/type of green/concentrate there is. I have also made a lot of connections during my time in that field.

With all this said I would excel more in a manufacturing atmosphere for sure

with the beauty of google, you can find how to put a business plan together.

What assumptions are you making? what kind of facility do you need to grow in? what are your expected expenditures? employees? profit margins? markups? lease and utilities? key players/investors? health and safety plan? advertising? who are your suppliers? back up suppliers incase one falls through? whats your market? who do you sell to? etc, etc, etc....

You can't just show up to a bank and be like "y0, I need a million buckzzzz. I wantz to gr0, y0!"

As a producer, you likely won't be able to sell. You can wholesale it to dispensaries/gubbermint, I bet, but not sell directly to customers. You could follow how alcohol is made/distributed/sold as a platform to base your business plan. I bet it will be similar in Canada for when green goes legal.

There is no legislation in ALberta allowing dispensaries to exist. There are some though. Some have been shut down due to selling to non licenced users. Some are still around and very busy.
