I got two free trips on my last Southwest flight to Orlando

Took the bump, got mad cash, and was put on a flight 2 hours later

I know it's different with the fam, but they do right by their customers for the most part

The line up part is bullshit, one of you get early group and reserve your seats vato

Or fly jetblue, shiett... even better.

Just don't ask them for shit and be cool.

It's not as good as the OG offer of locking high lineup + Apple TV, but the Apple TV is good.
I'm still very happy. The PS Vue is a better interface, but the lineup wack100.

Plus the free HBO for a year still in effect.
Download HBO GO and you're locked in.
My bro dropped Directv Now after the prepay period.
Still has HBO on Go. #winning

October a sweet spot.. August is the worst fucking time because not only domestic time off.
The fucking Europeans gonna swarm Harry Potter land.. that's the only time they get large amount of family leave.

It's not just crowded amusement parks
But the fucking airport..

Leaving Orlando can be a breeze or the worst fucking time of your life.
Don't even think about getting there with just 1.5 hrs to takeoff.

Before I got Global Entry / Pre Check.. spent two whole fucking hours in the TSA line.
No bullshit. Fuck that noise.

I've been in some super fucked up customs / tsa / security lines.. like the line is a mile long.

Orlando is still my worst experience.

My wife has been twice, I've been once. I think it would be cool for my oldest to see Pearl Harbor, even though he doesn't know the history, he likes boats and shit like that.

What's some good hotels to stay at out there in Oahu?

I've only stayed at Hilton Hawaiian Village and it was damn nice. Especially since they upgraded us to the private suite with pool access and bar access in the tower right off of the beach.

For tourists, tough to beat Hilton Hawaiian Village..
For tourists with some rich history.. Moana Surfrider, it's an old ass historical hotel right on Waikiki beach.
If you a rich ass, want exclusivity, The Kahala... shiett.

I don't fuck with Waikiki bruh
I stay at the Ala Moana because it's right outside, price is okay
and I can walk to most of the places I want to be (skrip club, drinky places with my boys, etc)
Plus it's by mall and park.. extra extras

Oahu definitely one of my favorite islands.
But to get a nice experience, look for a bungalow on the North Shore.
Really immerse yourself in that type of lifestyle, not Waikiki life.

Or go outer island but stay away from tourist traps.
Big Island offers so much and price is good.. my favorite.
Kauai is a great day trip, too $$$ to stay tho (maybe one night)
Maui has some beautiful beaches nowhere in the world can match.

I thought about trying Big Island. I'm just used to Oahu, but, it's always nice to switch it up.

Shit Air fare to Orlando with hotel for 4 nights 5 days with rental car for a day to go to my Grandmas is $3400 bucks! (a relative of mine said I can use their TimeShare for the low low) so ti would be cheaper if they can come thru.

Hawaii with hotel and airfare is $3428 bucks 5 nights 6 days in May. Flying out of Sacramento is $225 per person more, so I would fly out of San Jose instead.

Hawaii is going to be cheaper. I know it was when we went for our Honeymoon compared to Disneyworld.

In Hawaii I won't need a rental car either, as everything we would do is walking distance besides Pearl Harbor and Dole plantation.

Hawaiian usually has deals as well..

Both trips are going to be expensive

You can't do Hawaii without a car
Especially with a fam

A proper trip to Hawaii isn't Waikiki
It's like getting courtside tickets and watching the game on your phone

Go see Grandma cuh
She wants to see those babies!

Waikiki was my least favorite part of Hawaii when I went..

even if i go back to Oahu, I don't think i'm going to spend much time in the Waikiki area..

We have a friend who lives out there. My wife mentioned to them that we were thinking about going. We might do a trade off, they're coming to Cali to visit family around the same time we would be going to Hawaii/Orlando. It was mentioned as a joke that we could just swap houses for the week. But, then the joke turned into reality and it's a possibility that we will end up doing that.
