Now, I try and breaker off so I can really connect all the wire nuts correctly...I was pretty adept at twisting them together hot though, so to speak.

A learned doctor in the study of device physics and electromagnetics
I had another broham who is also an EE install a tankless heater
He was hooking up a dual zone system
Anyways, he checked the lines to the system off.. hooking up the back end he was like..
let me check that just in case.. it was wired to another circuit. Hot AF.
So.. I always check my ego at the door when fucking with stuff that can kill 10x over
I don't want to be another cautionary tale

Why are you thinking to replace, Matt?
I recently thought mine was low...I was monitoring some perceived "weak" starting via the MID and watched it dance around 12.7 sometimes then back up to 14+...
Is your battery in the trunk too?
The positive terminal clamp is like none I've seen...it uses this weird pinch thing to compress onto the post...well, it might have been a little loose or something, I adjusted it and cleaned it off and
added dielectric...the battery tested out just fine.
I'm with you on safety first...like when grinding metal...I'm like, probably shouldn't just try and squint here...let me get goggles.
I grabbed 240V from a ghetto rigged hot water heater from a customer...his out copper pipe was fully charged and we were trained to
grab it to see if there was a hot side water leak in the house causing a higher than normal electric bill. Woke me the fuck up...I remember dropping
my Mr. Nice guy work voice...I was like, holy fucking shit dude...that could have killed me...or your kid...get it fixed!

mine tested fully perfectly fine...
probably helps that it's not near the heat and elements under the hood...
and that I swoosh all the battery gel around a lot from my doughnuts.

I started driving the 4Runner for my daily a couple weeks ago, for reasons.
It stranded my ass the the other day at the gas station. Battery just went from, "cool, cool cuh" to "rip fool" after getting gas. Got a jump from Mrs Wagon and then drove to VatoZone for a duralast gold. Popped a Molly and started sweating.
TSX saved the day. It's that kind of thrill.
