I honestly don't think you missed anything. Wait, except for J telling me that I have to turn a page in the new year and be nice. It's been odd not insulting anyone.

Well, there's always the likes of SSFTSX, or other numbskulls who still deserve a good ribbing, but I'll be nice to the more established members.

I think they're the only Polish place in the Houston area. It's the real deal, buncha grumpy Poles getting lit and eating potatoes. Polish beer that you can't really get anywhere in town except the restaurant; and a little market next door to take home frozen pierogis and stuff.

And of course, it's located in the middle of a ghetto.

Well, not really. But it makes the story better.
As soon as I clicked on the link and saw the inside of the restaurant, I thought to myself "this isn't authentic Polish. It's waaaay too nice and clean in there."

But looking at the menu, damn, it's pretty authentic alright. I'm impressed to say the least. And they serve herring! O.M.G. I loooooove herring!!! And the tripe soup is one of my favorites. The first time my mom ever made it, I looked at the tripe she was cutting up and thought to myself "There's no way in hell I will eat THAT."

And then I tried it. And was a little confused. Because the tripe is so rubbery, but yet the soup as a whole is so delicious all at the same time. My mind was blown.

Yeah, I haven't been inside that new restaurant yet. They recently (well, since the last time I was there; over a year ago) moved their location next door to their market. The old joint was a half-block away in a rundown strip mall - mostly unoccupied spaces except for the old gas station that doesn't sell gas, and like a check cashing place or something. The inside of that one was much more fitting. Pretty sure it was wood paneling, dingy carpet, and dim lighting.

The new place looks much more fancy-pants. Probably sucks now.

Yup, if they aren't hustling cartons of cigarettes and cases of vodka out the back, it's not legit.

Also, the head chef has to be overweight and wearing a sweaty wife beater, with too much body hair all over. Unless it's a woman. Then she has to be scrawny yet tough as all hell and wearing a nice apron. Smoking at all times is a requirement. Don't be surprised if you find a cigarette butt in your food. It's traditional and a form of good luck.

What. The. Fuck.

There's a Ferrari F40 LM for sale in Calgary, with only 15000 miles on it, all original, one owner car, with factory LM upgrades. I'm surprised they're only asking 1.3 million for it!

Yeah, staying in the confines of my office today...not even going to go -ing despite missing all last week. Probably the worst bug I've caught in nearly 4+ years. I get my colds but those go quickly whereas this one just lingers with some tough symptoms.

Reminds me of the plagues I used to catch when I took public transit to work.

I think that site shows all prices in US dollars. Soory.

But I'm sure you can make a $34.50 down payment on the car and finance the rest...
