$1,041.83 in damages. Thankfully, I went with a higher premium and a deductible of $250.

Speaking of benzes... have you guys seen the newer revisions of the C and S classes... I'm not digging the styling, they did something very weird to it

I doubt the insurance company would let me go with the aspec trim. The kit is like $700, right? That's without paint? It would end up costing more than the ins. company's quote. $210 of it was for a new fog light because the bracket got broken and they couldn't find just the bracket. So, they're ordering a whole new fog light. Any of y'all have a spare bracket? I know Justin removed his fog lights. And, Jeremy has aftermarket fog lights.

IIRC, the A-Spec kits come painted as long as they have your color in stock. The $750ish or whatever Bruce charges nowadays is all in.

Will my current fog lights work with the aspec kit? And, what is Bruce's screen name so I can send him a PM?

You must spend a lot on shin-etsu grease with that type of activity.

If your fog setup is stock, then it'll work just fine.

AckTL05 I think - although I haven't seem him around these parts in a while. Meaningless because I don't post outside of this thread

I think he's more active on the 3G TL FB page to be honest.

Service manual is life. I got it tattooed on my body, next to Quran quotes.
Seriously though, that was like the first thing I got when I got the car. The freaking service manual. There's more specialized manuals, but it does the job IMHO.

I guess onwards and upwards from here. Sorry PB.

So seriously though, anyone know where I can find stupid TL bumper plate plugs in NBP for less than $35 a piece (local dealership price)? That's what made me ignore it last summer, I can't seem to justify spending this much for 2 plastic circles with 2 coats of paint...
Like $30 for both I'd love you long time.

I'd say this place is too small for 2 Canadians, but let's get real, this is almost Canadazine.

Any newer-car wreckers around you? It's an option. Even if they're the wrong colour, I can't imagine it being much to paint them- but then you'll likely be getting close to the dealership price.

That, or look for parked TLs on the street

Nope, I called and went to a few, none of them have freaking 3G TL, in any colour. It seems like these cars are either never crashed, or when they are, they're rebuilt.

Thought about it, but I ain't defacing another dude NBP TL. Cause you know, I say hi to them and shit.

Actually, try buying them online from one of the many Acura parts stores. Sadly, I don't believe any if them are located in Canada though, so you'll have to check on the shipping to see if it's worth it.

You should also see if any Hondas used the same parts by searching the part numbers. You could then buy them from torontohondaparts.com, to get the cheapest shipping costs, etc.

US places don't ship to Canada anymore, and if they do it's not worth it. Sort of like paying $20 each but then having $30 shipping.

I'll check again though, who knows.

Unless things have changed very recently, there's at least two vendors here on AZ that ship to Canada. I've used both on multiple occasions. You can't assume the shipping will be expensive without talking to them first, either. The package you're getting could fit in an envelope and likely weighs no more than two pieces of paper

I meant OEM vendors don't ship to Canada without ridiculous prices. EndlessRPM Bruce might, I'll have to look it up.

Obviously they're bumper plugs going on a 10 years old car, they don't need to be brand new, so buying from the dealership is pretty much a last resort.

Actually, you are SOL. I just looked and both places sell them for around $21-22. But then factor in the exchange rate, and shipping and you'll still be paying aroun $30 for each.

So I say either buy them from your local dealership, or keep searching the wreckers. for a painted OEM part, $35 isnt THAT bad.

You realize how tiny the bumper plugs are though, right?

I got a contact at Honda, I guess I might use him to get a deal. I just don't want to use him for stupid shit, in case I need him for something big. Got Accord wipers "free" in exchange of fixing his computer (adware/spyware shit).

Thanks for the heads up. I might have found some, so I'll hold until I get a comeback from that person first, then if there's none left I'll try messaging EvilVirus.

Yeah I was really wondering if it was sarcasm or someone actually thinking that. Decided to go with "People are stupid" so you know... service manual.
