There's levels to this shit. There are a few different "chapters" of bankruptcy. Chapter 7 is the one where you have to sell your TL and all your mods to pay your debts. Chapter 11 (the one 50 filed I believe) allows for reorganization of assets to satisfy debts or finanical obligations - in this case, the stuff Justn mentioned above. Other chapters too but I won't explain those today

One suggestion I'd make from what I've gathered seeing custody battles. You have to show that you've got a viable living situation for the kids and you're stable. Breaking up with girlfriends, living with a bunch of guys or not having a home you've lived in for x amount of years with a bedroom for the kids might hurt your case. Love isn't enough, in the court system.
