So now people are venturing out to Lowes and Home Depot etc with the summer "supposedly" here. i wanted to just mention if it hasnt already been done so, is there is a website/app called RAISE, where you can buy peoples gift cards to pretty much any stores with a discount.
so like you can buy a $100 lowes gift card for $90 for a 10% savings. then buy whatever you need and if you double it up with a coupon or sale sometimes you can make out pretty well. i did it a lot last year when i was working on a house i sold and knew i needed to go get something. its pretty fast and i never had issues.
Just throwing it out there.

Whenever possible, I've been buying parts from Honda and it's usually less expensive by a noticeable amount.

Anyone hear of an auto insurance company called "Metromile?" My wife and I are thinking about switching over. I put approximately 100-200 miles (if that) a year on the TL. It would save me over $500.00 a year in insurance with the same policy rates I currently have. My wife's end would drop about $200 a year. Doing some research on-line and coming up with mixed results/reviews.

I use bar soap. Because I'm a Neanderthal.
I like the dried out, itchy feeling that I get after a shower. Makes me feel like the cleaning products have done something. I did use a liquid soap once. GoJo. With the pumice in it. But I didn't like the orange smell all day.
Sometimes I'll just do a quick "wipedown bath" with some rags and acetone. Keeps the skin manly.

Just be prepared to put that extra savings into an account to cover things the low cost insurer does NOT cover. Read the policies carefully.
A little while ago I attempted to see what it would cost for me to switch to GEICO. I went through all the prompts on their website, and got a quote. It was for $200 less than what I'm paying now for USAA (which wanted $40 more per six months). I read the terms and conditions with GEICO carefully, to make sure everything matched with what I had with USAA.
It did match, except that they checked the Collision only option, not comprehensive. Fuckers. Bastards. Cheating shitheads. I checked that option, and GEICO was $400 more than USAA.
Per six months. Had I not checked that. I might have switched.

Progressive was and is cheaper, but i had to fight for 6 months over things that are supposed to be covered
you do get what you pay for!

Wow, thank you very much for all that information. I had switched from State farm to Geico and with a better policy, I saved over $1,000.00 a year for two vehicle. My wife and I called Geico to ask what the policy would be for the 2012-13 ML63, it will be about $350 more a year. Looking to see if another company can match or lower what we have. We both have clean records with no accidents. Thank you again fellas! Will do more research on other companies.

I have Geico ever since I started driving. For both cars I'm paying 100 a month. Lower deductibles. I think because I was on my parents from 16-18 then they split me from theirs and I was under my own but with them. I guess. But they've been with geico for like 20 years.
I called around and no one could beat that price and I went word for word from my policy.

Don't forget as the car ages its insurance increases, wife's '14 pathfinder did just that this last round, wasn't that much though and adding the TL was only an extra $40 a month fully covered.

It's actually an American company
they make cosmetics and other beauty products for men and women. I swear, every time I shower it's like being at the spa Wifey and a few of her friends signed up as sales consultants to essentially be "smart shoppers". The minimum she has to sell is peanuts and in return she gets 30% off.
I am the world's biggest skeptic. Massive. I don't trust anything at first. And these products have totally turned my view on them around. They are legitimately fantastic products. Most are vegan approved, no harsh chemicals, nothing remotely bad in them.
Look them up. It seems to be the little secret that lots of women don't know about, but those that do love it dearly.

It's also nice that wifey brings home an extra $500 every month now.. She sells very little though. Arbonne also has the "Mercedes benz program" once you get to a certain point in terms of sales, they pay for your lease on whatever Benz you want, up to a certain degree. I dunno the specifics of it, but let's say they pay up to a $1000/month for a lease, so if you want the E63, you just have to pay the difference on top. I secretly want her to start selling tons
