I've come to terms with it. It's why I have zero interest in modding the TL these days... whats the point. It's hard enough keeping all maintenance up to date and keeping the car clean

I'll mod the dedicated summer toy, that can get babied. Makes more sense.

Get a leather swing, really helps with alignment.

I'm keeping it easy, I don't want an all year round to become a project car, and surely not a TL.

Hopefully I can put some money on it this year, timing belt to do, would like to fix my tiny ass rust spots on the rear left door, paint correction would be nice, iSimple, N7 install, maybe drop her ~ 1 inch, cheap eBay trunk lip, replace some burnt out interior leds, fix my non working LED DRL (thx for nothing ijdmtoy), bushings, motor mounts and yadda yadda.

Didn't get bulbs either, couldn't diagnose much it was getting cold outside.

I think the relay might just be dead.

Care to show me how you wired it? Swear to god, I must have tried every possible combo ever as I was freezing my hands off, no go. I just didn't have time to test the relay and that's about it.

I tried every possible combination too...and none of them worked. since they were pretty cheap and mine had seen winter/salt I opted to get a new one.

once I got the new one I followed THEIR instructions and it worked like a charm. but made NO logical sense to me. There's no way guessing which looked like it should go hear or there would have worked.

Just got a contractor to come and install my screw piles for my deck over lunch. Literally took him 25 minutes to install 5 screw piles.

$945, later...

Yeah, they're called screwpiles.

At the bottom of the posts:

A lot of them you can do by hand with a long piece of lumber and running around in circles like a an afro-american slave in a mill in the old days.

There's no way you'll install a 10 foot deep screw pile without a skid steer. The torque needed to turn that bitch gets crazy. Plus, gotta keep it level at all times. Don't want to be rotating in an oblong shape, as you'll weaken the soil structure unnecessarily....

It's also a big fucking deck. 2 feet bigger than when I last posted pics of it. I want it done right. No point on cheapening out just to save 300 bucks in the long run. I'm doing everything else myself, so who cares if the deck costs 4000 or 4300.

That's exactly what it looked like while the guys were installing. The finished picture is what the base posts will look like.

I also have no idea where to just buy the screw piles. I found a place but they only sold large quantities of them, which wouldn't work for me

Bruh, do you even lift (and use leverage of a long lumber)?

Given, ground is still frozen here so not a good moment for that. But how freaking large diameter piles did you install??

Here's ones I used before:

This explains how to install them manually:
Two Ways to Install Screw Piles - Paalupiste|Helical Screw Piles

This is some oldish dude installing it by himself:

Don't know man, just sounds like he went apeshit and got piles to withstand the Empire State building or something.

The helix on the screw piles is 14" in diameter. Each one is rated to hold over 7000 pounds. It's overkill but I designed the deck according to city building code and they require piles every so many feet, based on joist and beam size. I'm also using 2x12 and 2x10 joists and beams. The deck is two s3ctions- the bigger section relies on 2x12s, the smaller on 2x10s. It is overkill but in order to pass city inspection, I had to do it this way. Oh well. This fucker will withstand a hurricane now

Taco's pretty sensitive about his weight, he wanted to make sure his deck (read:dick) wouldn't fall apart if he stepped on it

(Shh keep it quiet, he doesn't like to talk about it )

I got offered 13K for my TL by some local guy who claims to beat M5's in his nearly stock civic. I'm far less than 180K. I'm at 99K. Whoever buys the TL can roll the 100K mark.
