Yeah, it's like half a VTEC sicne it's only on intake.

2009 TL SH-AWD has proper VTEC per se, both intake and exhaust valves. I'm surprised this hasn't been done prior, because I don't believe it incorporates any new findings in materials technology, just very very crafty new design. Could have been done before, but hasn't for some reason.

While on the topic of VTEC, I'm surprised i-VTEC is not more widespread in the US.
