I like VLEDs but it's expensive to some, even though the quality is obvious in the product. The other alternative is to get some shit on ebay. A lot of people have had good luck with that.

☕️ A BMW 335i came flying by me on a straight run of interstate. I was just curious if it was governed. Once in the Accord, once in the TL. Never again.. You're right; it is stupid and dangerous. Besides, the TL was made to look good, not win races.

Well, hi errybody.
Figured I'd introduce myself - new to the Honda/Acura world (I'm a BMW guy, for better or worse). My boyfriend has an '06 TL so I've kinda become caretaker-by-association.
Like I said, the car is an 06... WDP on tan, nav, manual trans. 125k on it and in pretty good shape. I'm only planning on doing maintenance-ish stuff, although he did mention yesterday that "more growl wouldn't be all bad" ... intake for Christmas, perhaps?
I track a '97 M3 and daily a 128i (currently both without CELs lit, but featuring many oil leaks), so it's been kinda nice to drive around in something a bit more... relaxed.
Looking forward to getting all sorts of bad ideas for mods on this thing

Hola. Welcome to the 3G side, beware of the idiots.
Precat deletes + intake should improve the car quite nicely. I'd also look into another J pipe if I were you. RV6 seems to be the popular choice.

Can't be worse than VWVortex... my old roommate has a Mk5 GTI and answers to almost any question he's asked come back as "go **** yourself."
I've poked around and it seems like most people here have enough taste to not be entirely abrasive...
Thanks for the suggestion - Intake is the easy button as far as cost and install time, so I'll probably start there and see how he likes that.

your car is a he?
and welcome!
If you really want to keep it cost effective...

Also, undyingdreams is selling his RV6 Jpipe...I'd look into that for growl, it'll work...PCD might add rasp if you remove your Jpipe cat though.
Resident BMW Apologist
No, my other half is a he, and so am I (bring on the jokes, I'm not easily offended) - the car is a 'she' and her name is Pearl.
Mmm, I like cheap. This might be a good option, thanks!

haha my :ghey: co-worker always points out miatas when we go out for lunch.

If I got another roadster, I'd probably end up with a Boxster or Z4. The S2k is a riot but interior is too tight. My dad has a NC Miata and my back hurts after ~20 minutes behind the wheel...

Miatas are cool
Just don't mention that to Austin (UndyingDreams). He dislikes those cars because he doesn't appreciate driving feel.

Some people don't get it... but this clown better also hate the S2000, because the cars drive so similar. The Honda just has double the power.

They're tremendously fun cars, I loved mine as a street car. But... I grew a few inches after I bought it (I was 18 when I took it home) and being 6'2" makes life in a roadster pretty tough. And once I started tracking it and learning to legitimately drive, I kinda outgrew the power.

And only 6'2" ??? Pfffff... Son, I'm pushing 6'7", lol!!!
I've driven both the S and he supercharged Miata, and I gotta admit, I like the S more. However, I Do NOT fit in that car. Maybe I just need more wheel time behind the NC, but there was something that drew me in to the S much more the first time than the NC did.
And as far as looks go, I think all miatas are ugly, lol. It's solely for the driving feel I'm after!

The S has a smaller interior than the NC and I think is a bit more purpose-built, so stock-for-stock it's the more capable of the two. The NC's offer(ed) a "sport package" that adds Bilsteins and a Torsen LSD, but regardless of which shock you get, they all ride kinda high and are softly sprung. Obviously you can fix that...
And yeah, they look like bars of soap. Very happy bars of soap. The S is by far the prettier car.

I like the NC. Slightly lowered on some 245s all around. They look mean. The S2k can too, but it doesn't have the same hips that the NC has. I'm not saying it's ugly, I still love the S2k and will own one one day.
That ND though
I'm content with the FR-S though.

I was in with my S.
the guy i bought the wheels from, he has a silver one, slightly lowered and on 245 bbs all around. He's the guy that coordinates all the auto/track events in south florida for s2ki. Didn't even get to attend one of those events. In hindsight, it's probably best that I didn't.

Hah, at 6'7" you can just look over the windshield at red lights! I ended up staring at the sun visor...
