That RR driver is a fucking moron.. Drive like a dick, you're going to get dicked.

Lesson to learn.. if you come up on a group of motorcycles taking up all lanes.. relax. You're not going anywhere.

I took the bikers side after he plowed over a few of them. Prior to that, why the hell would you brake check an SUV on a bike? To the point where you get bumped by the SUV. That's just asking for it. The guy had his family in the car too. Surrounded by a group of angry bikers.

I'm sure that in the heat of the moment, that brake check was seen as the RR rear ending the bike purposely when it's likely the bikers fault for brake checking him in the first place

/herd mentality ensued.

Daily Mail - Revealed: The driver who was chased and beaten up in front of his wife and child by a pack of motorcyclists after trying to run over them in his SUV

Alexian Lien's Range Rover was the man attacked by motorcyclists after he accidentally hit a biker
Lien, 33, then crash through the mob in his vehicle, fearing for the safety of his wife Rosalyn Ng, and their 5-month-old child
Bikers chase the SUV, carrying couple and young child, and try to attack it
Lien speeds off hitting motorcyclists for the second time
It eventually grinds to a halt in NYC traffic and bikers smash the window
Lien was treated in hospital for lacerations to his face and body
Police said, contradictory to online comments, there were no other injuries

You are focusing on the incident, but in my experience, the driver pushing into the pack is probably the one that started it. Usually out of frustration, driving aggressively putting the safety of riders at risk. It wasn't right for the rider to try and make a point, but I can understand their sense of entitlement on the road. Too many drivers out there who don't respect the lives of other people on the road, especially motorcyclist.

It's not like the rider in the vid really brake checked him, he slowed down. If he brake checked him, he'd be out of control after getting hit. If a rider ever pulled in front of me at that distance, I'd already be on my brake because I know I couldn't match braking distance. RR driver is either oblivious, or raging, either way, they are still a moron as previously stated.

Yes it sucks to be stuck behind a pack of dolts hogging up all the lanes. But rage mode doesn't solve anything, luckily that dickhead didn't kill anyone. It's not like a gang of bikers were busting out his windows trying to rape his wife and snatch his baby when he took off.

Police say the SUV driver told them that he didn't see the motorcycle. The SUV driver was charged with following too closely.

^^^ it would help if camera man biker had hung back a bit to see what actually happened. i could tell that one biker veered into the SUV's lane, not sure if he wasn't paying attention or to try and prove a point because he felt tough with 200 of his closest friends but the SUV honked.

That said and being a bicyclist...I generally hang back a good distance and move over when bikers come by. I don't want any more bodies on my conscience and my cheek is already overrun by teardrops.

my car is still on jacks since saturday.
my jobs were: plug/patch tire, weld flex section of jpipe, after market motor mounts, and change oil.

got the tire plugged, couldnt weld the jpipe cuz the shop didnt have the flex section..., i'm stuck on the motor mount install right now... and probably will change oil next weekend.

yup fuel pump. the salesman was a guy a I used to work with so he laughed about it too. Apparently the fuel pump has a recall on it so I dont think they will be out of pocket on repairs. Sorry late response.

Is $160 reasonable for 08 base tails? I just bought the black/cleared Depo ones, so I'm thinking of selling my OEM's, and then modding my smoked set of DEPO's

What did you use to push/hold the motor up? How long in total did the mounts install take? I know that the rear takes the longest. I'm going to be ordering Excelerate's 75 durometer mounts to install in the coming week.

Which ones do you have?

yep, i just installed the XLR8 75A's.
the engine is held up via transmission and other mounts, so by taking out factory motor mounts, you wont need to "push/hold" the motor up.
you do, however, need to jack the engine up from the oil pan with a piece of wood in between the jack and oil pan to maneuver the old factory rear mount out.
but she will be just fine with no engine mounts as it's held by the transmission and other mounting points.

it took me a while, because:
A)Not a daily driver
B) had other jobs to do; change tire, weld jpipe, etc.
C) the rear was the hardest. only because I am short. I couldnt stand and reach over the engine bay to get to the bolts. i had to crouch and squat in the engine bay, working with like 2 feet of space.
the rear will only come out through the right side/passenger side. the side with the vacuum hoses.

*on the XLR8 front and rear mounts, the top mounting point can only go one way. I installed it the wrong way, and had to pull the motor mount out of the engine to re-do it.

oh, and I did not get shorter bolts in the XLR8 shipment for the sidemount.
Ive read some threads, where XLR8 specifically said to use washers to fill up the slack in the stock bolt, which I did.
you can also grab the correct length bolt if you wanted to from home depot, but i couldnt find them.

Justin(s)...I just read this...

I did the innovate mounts a while back....while doing the side mount, I didnt support the engine...

what I did for the front and rear is used the factory jack with heavy duty piece of metal...so I loosened the bottom 4 bolts and the 1 bolt which goes to the motor...then I took the jack with the piece of metal and jacked the motor up...the piece of metal went right at the block extension where the mount goes....

with that taken up, it was perfect....

I do recommend a long extension (24") and a flex adapter....

^yeah, you can take out all the factory mounts by jacking up the engine to help maneuver them out.
but it does not need to be supported by anything.

and its mostly common sense.

I even sat on top of the engine with out supporting it underneath
