I would just take the check and spend $300 to get it repaired.. Austin has a great bumper fix place.. really cool guy who is a chemical engineer. He can fix that like new.. plus profit.

umm Beezle, let you ask you something....when you hit the brakes do you check your rear view mirror?
a lot of people follow close and its a good idea to check the rear view mirror before you brake/slam on it....
whether you are/were making a right turn or just stopping....I have seen many people follow sooo close that even though I indicate to turn right (say into a shopping plaza) they come very very close....many times I have taken the turn at at higher speed and scraped the bottom....I feel thats still better than getting rear ended and possible rattling your backbone....

Just got a call last week and my insurance said they were pursuing payment from the last guy who hit me so now ill be 0 for 5 that are my fault... since last september
