Damn. That's crazy.
What I find most sad is that so many people evidently were affected in some kind of way by this. Imagine the good that could have come if they all turned out to make positive change WITH him. Hopefully the momentum carries forward and some people pick up the torch to continue doing good in the community.
Looking back now, the killing seems so senseless. Like, even more so than it really was.
Also, at the crowd standing on the cop cars.

Dude, I respect GV a lot...
that was an epic montage.
I feel like I've been living under a rock to not have known this guy's hussle.
I guess in this day and age if you don't keep up there seem like there are
so many names that come and go and if it's not something that catches your
attention or specifically tells you a story...you completely miss it.
I mean, one of the guy's on Jude compared this to the impact of MLK or JFK
being assassinated in modern day. I was like, how have I not even
realized who this guy is.

I'm heartbroken, but I still have hope. I'm definitely carrying a torch.
I hope his brother Samiel doesn't get locked up and he can truly carry the torch with his fam in tow.
I might have felt hopeless at one point, and it's still surreal, but the love I saw today shook me
If the old lady on 5th and his daddy and mama can be positive and say.. if I can be strong so can you
Then hell yeah I'm gonna ride. No wonder why Nip was a real1. Their shell is cracked but they're not broken.
Regarding his death.. I feel the same. He got caught slippin. He lived in an inherently dangerous neighborhood.
What he thought he was protected by, wasn't enough. Love, respect, and positivity aren't enough.
You need to be feared. Nip wasn't weak, but the fact that he gave his energy and time to anyone was what made him vulnerable.
I see that as real strength though. Nobody really moves like that, especially not a dude worth millions.
We have a saying, don't mistake my aloha for weakness.
Islanders are like this, super kind and welcoming.. but will fucking pack you out if you disrespect.

I saw some video on youtube about what happened that day. Supposedly he wasn't even supposed to be at the store, gave his security the day off. Got a call that a homie got out after 20 years and so Nip said to meet him at the store so he could hook him up with some clean clothes and shoes to go home. Shooter rolled up and tried to say whats up and try to get his music heard. Nips told him to leave because there were kids around and didn't want any drama if the crew saw the snitch there. Shooter left, came back, took advantage of everyone lacking and there it is. Evidently, he employed felons at the store to give them a chance and they were staying clean, no one was holding to be able to shoot back.
Versions of that I'd heard before. But the new part I'm not sure about because it seems pretty tinfoil hat, but still possible, is that right after the shooting, the 60s green lit the snitch and his family. Both teams were on the lookout and making hits. Took out 6 family members before he turned himself in and they were ready to keep going.
No clue how true but part of me wants to believe.

Another part of me wants to deny Nipsey got killed and it was all faked and him and Pac are smoking and drinking on the beach in Cuba. That's the simulation I want to live in.

I didn't read about the hooking up a brodie with clothes, but I heard about the green lit on the fam and killing x number of family members
I don't believe that part.. latimes has a page for homicides and I don't see anyone dead past Nip that seems related / retaliatory.
That being said, revenge is a dish best served cold. That getaway bitch better split.

Nip was a real G.. Sam too.. but one thing Nip would say over and over
.. just let them self-destruct
So.. as things go.. people going to kill for random shit
Nobody got revenge on Tupac's killers even though everyone knew who did it
Them fools got rolled on some other shit
So I'm not holding my breathe on any satisfying retaliation shit
Butt a fuccboi gonna be a fuccboi and you reap what you sow
The shooter.. well.. I can only hope he dies every day while he's locked up
Right now he's in solitary because everyone wants at him
His death has already started

This is the fundamental problem with the word. To me, nigga is a truncation of nigger. Perhaps it is a slang form, but it derives from the same word. If I told you, "Maybe it's just me, but talkin' and talking mean two completely different things," wouldn't that be a bit confusing?
In high school, I had a black kid from another school tell me, "My nigga, ..." during a heated conversation after a sporting event. Nobody thought much of it, but when I responded, "I am not your nigger," everyone paused in shock. Didn't make much sense to me, but I am a honkey from an all-white town, so we don't have problems with English or the "creative" differences Ebonics had created.

My homie and his girl just bought a new hellcat charger last week.
Carpet guys already dragged the side. They even parked it in the garage.
Apparently carpet guys put remainder of roll sitting on Charger.
Roll fell down and fucked it up.
