I was coming home from grocery shopping on Saturday. I had two passengers and heavy load of groceries in trunk. Then, I saw a fast moving galante on three lane road.

When I got to next red light, I pressed gas about 2/3 way. Galante had only driver and probably nothing in trunk. Mine was damn heavy and blew that thing away by about a car length when I got 35MPH.


On Sunday, I was heading home and I see a red light racing previous gen Avalon. So I go behind him at a light and as soon as light turned green, we passed other cars in other lanes and I made lane change and passed him. By this time I was about 40MPH and he tried to prevent me from passing him but wasn't succssful.


Last story is about couple weeks ago. I was going down 35MPH road when I see fast approaching modded Jetta and modded CRX. We lined up at red light on three lane road. As soon as light turned, CRX was trying and Jetta wasn't even trying at all. I had four car length by I was at 50MPH to CRX


I guess the lesson here is slow down if u can't beat it. just like what I do when I'm infront of corvette or cobra

i agree with your last statement, but racing faster cars gives you a good idea of how fast your car is especially after you do a mod, race a faster car that beat you before and see how much closer you are the second time around.
