Great stories guys, please post if you ever ran into problems with your tl and at what mileage.

Been worried about miles per gallon (MPG) and keep forgetting i'm getting very high (SPG) ... smiles per gallon .

Just picked up my 07 asm TL-S today 79k and it feels very strong. Seeing all these high miles makes me feel good about my purchase.

'07 type-s 5spd auto

91k

Transmission replaced at 70k. and 85k the 02 sensor code is on.

wife currently driving it, I get it back in a couple weeks once I hand over the a recently bought x5.

Im exited, since she drove it the fender ding form tree branch and cracked rear bumper.. and leather starting to crack. Poor car has been mistreated.

Cant wait to detail the interior and fix the rear bumper.

I love the car like the first day I bought it.

06nhtsx , at 79k you got yourself a car that will last you a very long time. Take good care of it and enjoy.

bpowa, congrats on those 91k.
Just wondering, why did the trans had to be replaced? What happen?
"I love the car like the first day I bought it." I'm with you on this one.

Just wanted to share it with everyone...

Recently messaged mister "mcmanut" post # 35, had 202k in his 2008 tl-s back then ... now 231k . Only problem to report is the APP Sensor went bad . Congrats on such wild numbers.

It was a hard down shift from 3rd to second. It happened randomly and got more frequent. BTW this happened about 3k miles after I did a 3x3 drain and fill with redline fluid. Right after the drain and fill I notice it had a snappier shift response. Then over 3k. I had the knocking downshift. It was kinda abrupt when it happens. Kinda scary. Lol.

Good thing it happened right before my warranty expired. Now I have a new tranny with the updated acura fluid. So this car should last me a while.

^Redline D4 or racing fluid? Congrats on the mileage/new tranny!

Did you ever replace the 3rd & 4th gear pressure sensors?

Of course it had to be racing fluid. I did not replace the sensors. I hope they replaced it with the new tranny. :/

04 tl tru aspec 6mt 147, 777
05 tl 6mt. 104, 737

If you are diligent with your regular, an preventative maintenance these cars run forever. I drive both my cars very hard, an typically the only issues I have are self induced. Have fun with it an with 79, 000 you should feel safe about your purchase. Also find out if your tl is under the Vaughan class action law suit an if so deduct 5% off your milage for your true milage. These cars add 5% to the milage, my certified warrenty expired at 105, 000 miles, just a heads up, an enjoy

2006 TL just hit 180k. Bought it last December with 165k. Seems to be running great. I hope to get at least 320k out of this car.

Besides the 100K service, what else has been done to your car?
Thanks. Bill C
