30,000 mile maintenance
okay i'm going to hit 30,000 miles soon. I'm just wondering if there is any other maintenance that I should do other then a regular oil change.

2004 TL w/ 6MT & Navi
Have you had the dust & pollen filter replaced yet? What about the coolant? The air filter? Tranny fluid?
I would replace the d&p filter and tranny fluid every 15k and the coolant every 30k. I have a K&N air filter which I'll clean every 10k.
Also, you may want to have the brake fluid changed and/or the system flushed.

I dont think I did any of that. the only thing that I did was replace my break pads, and normal oil changes. How much do the filters cost? did u go through the dealer?

2004 TL w/ 6MT & Navi
When I go into the dealer for the next oil change at 16k, I will also have them replace the d&p filter (I have no idea on the cost yet) and tranny fluid. The k&n air filter was $42.17 at www.4filters.com.

I got 35,000 on my 04TL
(even though it spent 4 months in the body shop for a $11k rear end collision repair)
Went to one dealer, he wanted me to pay $180 for a 30k mile scheduled maintenance, mainly filters and brake pads.
Went to another dealer, they told me 3rd gen TL don't go by miles but by what the MID says, it depends on your driving habits.
I changed the pads and resurfaced the disks anyway since there was some warping due to excessive heat build-up.
My work is 32 miles away so I drive some miles... and Houston is big anyway
some of my co-workers drive 140 mi a day just to work. crazy!
