3 car seats in rear seat?
With a 3rd baby on the way, I'm wondering if it is possible to get 3 car seats to fit across the back. I guess the configuration I need is an rear facing infant seat in the center and a booster seat on each side. Has anyone found good fitting car seats for the TL in this configuration?

hmm good question. Graco makes a rear facing infant carrier that has a narrow base. I had to buy that to use in my wife blazer because of the seat configuration. I would think you would be ok with 3 in that configuration.
I would recommend going to your local Babies r Us and ask the customer service desk if they will let you test fit a few display models in your car so you can see which one will work best. Most of the time they will let you do it as long as someone is with you.

Yes you can. My wife was doing it for a while in mine after she started babysitting a friends little boy.
We had two larger forward facing 5-pt harness car seats on either side utilizing the LATCH anchors. Then there was a rear facing carrier seat for our infant in the center held down with the center seat belt. There is a trick to installing a car-seat using the vehicle belts though. After getting the seat belted in securely, you must pull the seatbelt all the way out. Once you do this, the belt will hear the belt return mechanism ratchet as it pulls the excess belt back in. Now you can no longer pull the belt back out until you unbuckle it and feed ALL of it back in. This locks the belt and holds the carseat in place until you unbuckle it.
You won't be able to get the center carrier out unless you remove one of the other seats first though, but it's completely doable. If you just had boosters for older kids, I would think everything would fit alot easier.
Now that all 3 kids are in larger standard car seats, I doubt we would be able to get 3 in place (even with one facing rearward). We are now looking at Honda Pilots and Odyessy's (to replace my wifes Element) to fit all these darn kids. Too bad they don't come in a manual..
PS: If your worried about the seats, just get 3 of those seat protectors at babies R us. They work quite well...
