26000km A1 Service

Upon my third service, this one apparently not free... which refreshed my memory on how much the dealer can try and screw you for the simple oil change and tire rotation. They friggin want 75 bucks +tax for the oil change and tire rotation! I guess an hours labour is an hours labour... Anyway just wondering if any of you run acura's oil (whatever that may be) or any synthetic oils? Since the car is still new would u recommend just doing the service at the dealer or same deal doing it on my own?As long as i keep my receipts for oil and oil filter, everything should be honoured engine wise under the warranty, right? I mean i do have the time.

I just had an oil change and tire rotation (27,700 miles) at a local automotive shop for $47.99. No sir, I did not take it to the dealer to do this. The mechanic told me oil change (include filter) costs around 35 bucks and tire rotations costs 15 bucks.

I think it's worth getting two jacks and rotating your own damn tires...

Or let Costco do it for nuttin'!

But I do have jacks and occasionally do it myself, when I want to really clean and wax the wheels good.
