Exclamation 2008 Type-S w/A-Spec

I just picked up a 2008 TL Type-S 6MT with factory installed A-Spec. I got the A-Spec package for free and paid $38k for the car. It's my first Acura and holy crap what a great ride! The dealer told me that it's the only 2008 Type-S in the country that has a factory installed A-Spec package. Is this true?

I'm just learning about the car so any thoughts would be appreciated.

haha...I call

Dealers will do anything to sell a car, but then I don't know what country you're from. That said, the car is still crazy nice! Aspec TL-S in manual is pretty much perfect. Congrats and welcome!

Let the mods begin

total

the aspec package includes front lip, rear lip, side skirts, suspensions upgrade and 18" wheels... oh and a sticker under the type s emblem...

contrary to what your salesman told you, they probably installed those parts in their service area and bumped up the price but for 38k you walked away overpaying since a few guys have paid 35k for same car... $3k for the aspec package already installed isn't the end of the world in my opinion

so honestly post some pics, and keep on enjoying the ride

Alright cool. Yea, it was the autoshow type-S car down here in Miami. Acura added the A-spec package for the show and "donated" all the cars to one of the Acura dealers as a thank you for running the show. I saw the car at the autoshow, and the GM is a friend of a friend. My understanding is that the type-S 6-speed is very difficult to come by.

Anyway, the car is sweeeet. Hope to learn more about everyone's experiences. Pics soon.

That dealer needs to get fired for giving you such bogus fact! There are so many factory Type-S A-specs. I know 3 in my circle of friends just in my zipcode. LOL

38k, that's nice. I was at the dealership today and the one in the showroom was I believe $52k. With the dollars almost at par it's crazy what the price difference is.

Yeah, what's going on in Canada is F'd up. Even though the CAD is approx = to the USD, they are not dropping prices.

It's like they taking a 20% inflationary hit. And it's not just Acura, it all kinds of products across the board.

every single thing is the same price. In no way do Canadians benefit from the dollar.

there should be a law against this

I HATE CANADA!

oh, and congrats on the car.
