2008 TL Type S under 50K Miles Possibly for Sale
So I’m trying to gauge the market should I put my car up for sale and trying to figure out a price tag.
My only other thought is hang onto it and hope it appreciates even more like a fine wine.
It’s a one owner car. Me. Silver. Automatic.
I look on all these sites to get an idea of what a car like mine would sell for but all the ‘08’s seem to have 100K miles on them.
Any thoughts in terms of a price tag would be much appreciated.
Happy to provide more detail on the car if needed.

I'd say a nice haul, if only a 6MT it would be crazy!
I guess it could go up in value but if it was a 6MT, it would for sure...imo
Yea the miles are crazy low, but then belts, hoses, anything rubber wise comes into play. I can't imagine anyone buying it and using it as a daily, but that's just me.

just for reference i bought a 1 owner KBP (ebony/grey interior) 07 TL-S 5AT w/86k in mint condition 100% stock untouched by a man in his 60s... on top of that the car lived it's entire life in California so it never saw snow/salt for $11,000
this was also back in September of last year before the chip shortage so you might be able to sell now for a really profitable amount on bring a trailer BUT i do believe if you hold the car and dont put much miles on it a year, it'll continue to increase in value however being that its a automatic it probably wont get anywhere near as much as a 6MT Type would.. if i had to guess i would say you can probably get somewhere around like 16-18k from the right person
heres mine after getting it paint corrected and ceramic coated

I live in CO. The vehicle is driven so infrequently. It's hooked up to a trickle charger because of the lack of driving.
Here is a stupid question: can you convert an automatic to a manual? How much would it cost? How much more would I be able to get if it was a manual vs. an automatic?

the auto to manual swap has been attempted many times in the past, with only a couple members actually being successful (based on their posts).
Keep in mind that its not an easy task and by swapping and auto to manual, you would have to disclose that information, which in my opinion would hurt your vehicles value just due to the risk involved of items not being installed correctly.
the auto you have is super low kms, either keep it or list it online as is.

instead of conversion (unless you do all the work yourself) just buy an MT instead.

Hey, if never-ending cost overruns, headaches beyond comprehension, a time investment that goes weeks or months further than you ever imagined, or getting thoughts of suicide are your thing, then I say go for the conversion!

None of that sounds fun to me. I'll just keep it as an automatic. The miles are super low, I never drive the thing, it's paid off... so one day when I feel like upgrading, I'll get what I can for it and move on. As someone else said it the chat, $16K-$18K is a fine number... $20K would obviously be better but I'll just hang onto it and keep the miles low.
