one of my friends has a supercharged mazda millenia and swears he could be my 2008 TL-S. i didnt really say anything because i didnt know. so im asking, who do you think would win?

my other friend has a 2003-2004 nissan maxima SL (or SE/ the highest one) and thinks it would be an even match with a 2008 TL-S. who do you think would win?

PS: my TL-S is still stock. i have a couple of performance upgrades (AEM CAI, TB Spacer+Gaskets, RSB, J-pipe) that i need to install but havent had the time.

that mazda millenia isnt fast. I think it has only 170 hp, and its weird type of superchrager, that uses the forced induction to actually push the cylinders back down so the engine is doing so much work.... I was gonna buy one, but it was very slow...

The maxima is a joke compared to an 08 TL-S. You gotta have a little more confidence in your ride man.... your playing with children compared to your ride.

ANY Accord V6 (and derivative thereof: TL, TL-S, etc) should make VERY short work of the MilleniaS.

As for the Maxima, the 03 and 04 are two different vehicles. Both are a little handcuffed with an AT (less so with the 04+) but, well driven 6MTs can take the auto TL-S.

As far as trim levels go: GLE is top of the line for the 02-03 (though the SE can be as well equipped as the GLE or nearly as stripped as the GXE; the SL level debuted in the 6G Maxima).

The Millenia is a joke so bet like a load of money or something valuable.

If you are going against the 04 Maxima then you should destroy it. I heard the 03 6spd is really fast. But the 04+ come in autos.

thanks to everyone who replied. i didnt even try acting cool or anything. but they started hating when they saw my car and ofcourse, the shit talking began. i didnt even talk shit back lol. i just wanted to be sure they will get raped on the streets before i started talking shit lmao. but i will race them next month cuz i got finals coming up and dont have time to race. need to studyyyyy. but i will record or atleast take pics.

The 04-06 Maximas have an available 6MT tranny, though I think that changed to CVT for the 07+ model years.

The 02-03 6MT is about as quick as my son's Altima 3.5SE (14.3 @ 97mph) with a good driver but should not be too far off from what the TL-S 5AT should run.

yah ive never been the one to brag or talk smack. i just like proving things by showing people. actions speak louder than words . but i did race the maxima once before and i came pretty close to winning but i lost cause i was driving my moms 2007 grand cherokee laredo (stock/base).

but by the time i do race both of the cars i named, i will have had my CAI, TB spacer, ATLP quad exhaust, RSB (doesnt really make a difference performancewise), UR Pulley, and J-pipe and test pipe installed.

If you were close to winning with a Jeep Cherokee then you should be able to take him with your TL. Just make sure the tires are warmed up before you start the race, close all the windows, no a/c or fan and half a gas tank and take the rpm all the way to red then shift. Then Celebrate and put the video all over youtube just to rub it on their faces. lol

yah i will definitely be taking out the sub. and the only reason im waiting is because i want someone reputable to install the mods but i cant find anyone in jersey. i even thought about the dealership lol. and second, i have finals (freshman in college) coming up next week so you know where my time is being spent. biology and chemistry can really soak up most of your time lol.

If you were able to keep up with the Max with your Jeep, it means that the driver of the Max really sucks and you will have no problem beating him in your TL-S unless you screw up big time. Also with your upcoming mods will only increase your chance of winning.

I will tell you that the 08 TL-S auto will not destroy a 04 Maxima SE. The Maxima SE comes in the 5AT and the SL comes with the 4AT. The SE I have seen put up mid 14's second times stock. The SL mostly runs high 14's to low 15's. I have beat a 04 Maxima SE in my modded AV6 but a good driver should be able to hang with a stock 5AT TL-S.
