...helping out a friend looking at an 08 TL Navi - Base 5AT. It's got a $3,500 insurance repair on right rear/passenger qtr panel below tail lights.

The car is also a certified Acura so its got full warranty straight up to 2015. NOTE that this car is at a dealer lot and got certified even with the knowledge of that ding.

Is that ding considered minor? considering repainting was probably $1,500 already. **this be in CDN dollars**

Price would be under negotiations of course and its actually a bit of a baby at 27500 miles/44000km.

brand new tires - however, these are no name 235/45/17.

brand new front brakes, rears at 80%.

CPO warranty until June 2015.

How much is the dealership asking? Id certainly use the $3,500 repair as a negotiation weapon. If its a CPO id worry a lot less than if it were private sale, and 27k miles is quite low. If the price reflects the previous damage its prob a solid deal.
