2007 TLS vs 2008 TLS
I just found a 2007 TL Kinetic Blue 6 MT with 28750miles. What would you do if you had the choice. This car or a 2008 TL-S same miles but in black?

Well that all depends on which color you like more we can't make that decision for you. No significant changes between the two years that I'm aware of and I have owned both year Type S's and both transmissions. I would always normally say get the newest year possible. And only you can be the judge of if you want manual or auto.

Black is auto and Low miles. I do want low miles. I love classic black, but the blue is epic. The only problem is with the blue, is with so little of them of there, people will always know or see where I am at. I would have to park behind the strip club building now.

Thanks. The black one does. This would be my 4th TL. The warranty is not much of a concern at this point. Shit happens when shit happens. I just wanted to see what people would say. I know my decision, I'm just seeing if there would be some opinions or points that would convince me other wise.

Do you know how many people have different opinions on both??????
you should have skipped this thread and start a new one when you have the car that you want in your possession. We love pictures.

Srsly. Not to be a dick, but its like asking if you should buy a pickup truck or a 2-seater. We can't answer for you, but I totally want to see pics and mods start coming together ASAP!
Much love.

Here this can solve your problem...just get both lol. Here are both of my Type S's. The 07 KBP 5at was sold and now I have the 08 NBP 6mt. Both great cars but I think I prefer the 08 6mt....humm or wait maybe I like the KBP more...ahh crap I dont know....

06 Anthracite TL
Those 2 cars are just...beautiful. I love my 06 but if I had to replace it, I would go for either the KBP or Carbon bronze- they look great. Acura really hit a home run with the TL-S.

Benefits of 6mt:
-the car is measureably leighter
-better front/rear balancing
-a couple mpg improvement in fuel efficiency
-more unique
-fun driving experience
^^^ none of that really matters too much since the TL is by no means a race car. I just figured I would mention it lol.
Benefits of 5at:
-smoother overall driving
-good for just cruising if you dont feel like shifting
As far as the colors as mentioned black always looks amazing when its clean, but such a pain in the ass to keep it that way. I am a detailing buff and literally after a drive around the block after spending all day detailing it the car is coated in dust. SUCKS! The same thing obviously happens to all colors, but its just not as noticeable. Paint imperfections and swirls are also more evident in black. So if your not into detailing cars or taking as much cosmetic care of them black is going to show it much quicker and easily.

1. People title a thread one thing (2007 vs. 2008), and then have a totally different thread purpose (color and transmission).
![Why Me](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/whyme.gif)
2. People post negative comments (like this one), that just bump up the original topic.

I think we need to implement some sort of thread "grading" system (see fatwallet.com), and then members can choose to not see certain threads that don't pass the lowest standard. We really have some horribly titled threads...I guess it all works out in the end though, and I should just shut up and not read 'em, right?
