2007 TL-S A/T Throttle Plate Gap

Does this look right to y'all? I was cleaning my 2007 TL-S throttle body and noticed that the throttle plate doesn't seem to close all the way.

2007 TL-S throttle plate.

How would the engine get enough air to idle if the throttle plate closed all of the way?

yes the gap is normal as your engine need to be breathing during idle.

Since it's drive by wire, the ECU uses the throttle valve actuator to control the idle air supply, rather than relying on (or even having) an idle air control valve like the 2G/UA5 TL, right? Because of this, I just assumed that the throttle plate would close completely unless the ECU commanded otherwise. I wasn't sure so I thought I'd ask.

Thanks, y'all, for clearing this up for me.
