2007 TL-S Auto to Manual Conversion Swap

Hi all, I haven't really posted much on this forum but definitely got a lot of info from it in the last few years. I am currently doing a Auto to Manual Swap in my 07 TL-S. I have taken some pictures on the way and currently not completed yet but I decided to go ahead and started to post some pictures of what I have done so far. Hopefully some of you guys will enjoy the pictures. I bought a crashed 07 TL-S 6speed from Copart to start this project. So far it has been quite a project even though its seems to be a simple swap over lol.. Will update as i go.

Old Picture of a few years back.

Engine bay picture of how it sits in my Garage.

The Silver 07 TL-S is a Manual 6speed that I am taking it apart to transfer to my TL-S.

How it sits with the Engine/Trans out of the car.

How my TL-S sits right now with the current swap out of the car.

Picked up a few goodies on the way...

So the biggest issue i ran through so far is installing the clutch pedal... If you are thinking about doing this 6-speed conversion in your Auto TL. Please be prepared cut into your firewall and make sure you have the mounting hardware that comes with it. Here is a picture of where my fuse box wiring harness goes through the firewall and uses the place where the Master cylinder should go. I had to cut into the firewall and pull the wiring harness over in order to install the Master.

Here is a picture of the Master Cylinder in the Parts car. Notice i had to drill out the Plate in between the firewall. This will be used on my current car as a spacer for the bolts and also lets me know where to drill my holes.

This is the upper bracket that you will need to mount on your car for the Pedal. I also had to drill this out and figure a way to mount it in my car. It isn't so bad but definitely took some time to make sure everything lined up so the pedal is not off centered.

Here's how it looked like once i drilled out the welded spots off the parts car.

Here's how my car looks like from the interior. I decided to pull the dash as it will be way easier for me to install the pedals and do the work. Also my dash is all cracked up and the parts car had a nicer dash with no cracks... YET...

Here's a picture of the new clutch pedal installed with the new brake pedal as well. Also decided to buy a new master cylinder from Acura so i know there will not be an issue going forward as these are a PITA getting to.

I just got a gift for my bday so this will be going in as well...

Stay TUNED to more updates!!!

Probably not; if I recall correctly there is something like a 15 minute timeout for the Edit button. Maybe one of the mods can correct your links.
