I heard through an Acura parts guy that the entire front bumper will fit but this is very expensive. You buy the bumper unpainted, you need it painted to match, a new grill set-up, and of course all the lower fog lights items.....easier to do a little mod with the lower grills on what you have

yes the 2007 TL bumper fits on the 04-06! but! you will have to buy the bumper cover, new gril, emblem bar, and lower moulding. they are larger in 2007. i am currently doing the conversion right now. jsut waiiting for the bumper cover to come. it really isnt too expensive. but i have a shop so i get dealer cost . i am also in toronto canada..
bumper is $239 list cdn. and the full grill assembly costed $200 cdn. not including the fog grils.. thats next on the order list. i will be sure to pust pics up. all my stuff is from the 07 type S so the main grill will be black chrome!

yeah, add about $200 for each for light unit! maybe less for you, add it all up it's about $700! and that's on the low side since you got the hook-up. should look sweet when you're all done. i was planning the same thing until my 04 got smashed, i purchased a type-s to replace it

well my cost on the bumper is $189 which is peanuts. the 4 pieces of the center big grill costed me $150 my cost the lip costed $230 but hopefully the lip fits the corners of the fog light area on th 07 bumper. paints no big deal. i do work for one of the most professional bodyshops in my area.. so they dont charge me for paint. thank god! WDP is expensive to paint! and yeah hopfully the fogs dont kill me.. the guy at the dealer said 07 parts are sooo cheap right now becasue they jsut came out. even the type s tails are $60 a side. i was shocked.. but i like my full red tails. :P and the reason why i am doing all this is cause i saw the black chrome grill and it looked like it was the same as mine. so when i ordered it, the only thing that fit was the hood part.. i was soo pissed. so i called to see how much the bumper was(thinking it was gonna be like $400) to my surprise he told me it was 189 so i decieded to do the conversion LOL>>
i will post progress pics soon! probly tomorow!
pics will be posted soon.

Just do the fogs yourself like I did. only cost $37 for the fogs on ebay + $8 for the VSA switch from the dealer.

Can't we just replace the grill inserts on the bottom from the 07 into our bumper? Are the dimensions the same? This way we can just drop the grill inserts and some fogs and ur straight.

07 Grills are wider

The lower grill openings in the 07 are wider, so no you cannot just swap them.

It really is NOT very difficult to do the fog loight install like I did. The toughest part for me was modding the switch.

The factory VSA switch is angled to fit the contour of the dash. The Honda fog light switch that comes with the kit is not contoured. If you are OK with that, then you can even just use the switch as it comes.

As said they are not an exact replacement - BUT I plan on using them with modifications to do my fog install - also got the 07 TLS Grill going in too.........

Whichever way you decide to go keep in ming that if you also plan to install the ASPEC body kits you will need the front from an 07 and the rest from your true year.

Hybrid - Either Black Market or eBay - you WILL be able to sell it and recoup some of that money. I've also read a lot of posts with guys only wanting the front lip for their cars and not the whole kit - post it up you will sell it easy.

Hey Hybrid - Can you do me a favor??

What year is your TL?

I would like to know if the chrome wing in the middle of the grill on your 07 bumper is the same size as an 06 base TL ..... I have an 06 and think I might want to swap that piece out for the TLS one

I saw a thread where someone installed the 07 grill on an 06. I THINK it was USA6spec. (he is the one who has done all the other cool mods - he is where i got the idea to do my fogs after he did it to his)

I think the wing was the same size, the only problem is that the entire grill is taller on the 07. he had to cut it in half shop it, and put it back togethor.

it sorta fits. but it mounts differently.i was gonna do it. but decided not to. you have to do some cutting.

i've also tried selling the lip in the black market... didnt get one response.

Yup that's what I am planning to do - 07 grill and 07 wing on my 06............sounds like it will fit....the cutting shouldn't be too bad following the other thread.

Hy - did you try eBay on the lip?

LOL - Yours looks great Term......I really like it. I just can't wait for it to get warmer around here so I can get to some of this stuff. As soon as I get started you'll know it - I will definately post the pics.

I'm going to try something a little different with the fogs.......still working it out in my mind.

agree with HybridTl

This is the first i have seen close-up pictures of the front of the 07 TL with body kit & the TL-S.

I do not care for the bumper lip on the TL-S as much as the base TL front lip.

I'm 99.2% positive that the chrome wing is not compatible with the 2004 - 2006 model years. Believe me, I've done the research. Even though the grilles are similar, the mounting tabs for the wing are in different locations on the respective grilles. In addition to that, the bumper itself has a different mounting lip for where the wing meets the bumper.

I actually went 'round and 'round on this topic with Acura of Escondido (because the jerks at my local Acura dealer wanted nothing to do with me) and we came to the conclusion that the TL-S wing would not fit on my '06 (or '04 and '05 for that matter). I know he would have sold the necessary pieces to me if they did.

Further, the chrome v-shaped molding that goes along the bumper also does not fit, as the bumper from the 2004 - 2006 has a slightly different angle from that of the 2007 TL-S. Pretty much the only chrome piece that fits is the hood molding.

I would love to be proven wrong about all this, though, so if we can get confirmation that it would indeed fit, I would be pretty stoked.

As i mentioned before the wing IS the correct size, the entire grill though is too tall. I found the thread I mentioned before, I was incorrect about who did it though, it was Crook.

Are you sure, dude? I think it might be the correct "size", but as far as whether it'll fit in there and look right, I think that might be another story. The part where the wing meets the bumper is different -- I'm pretty sure:

the wing fits from the 07. you right the mounting holes are different. but you gotta modify it. the v part does not fit the 04-06 bumper. only the hood part fits.. trust me.. i already wne through this myself.. thats the whole reason why i am doing the 07 front!:P
