2007 Acura TL Type-S 5-Spd AT User Reviews at Yahoo

Check this out guys!

I traded my 06 TL for the Type S 3 weeks ago so I was curious to see 0 - 60 times of the Type S and look what I saw at Yahoo!

the stats for this car is off...i just had it dynoed at pg series of san diego at 297hp @ 5300, 271lb @ 4650...??? this is an average for 3 runs?? i did not expect this from an acura since i usually buy bimmers. its like german engineering from japan. my 0-60 times are 4.5 secs. 1/4 is at 13.78@98.9mph...what is going on??? i wrote to acura and suprisingly they responded that some cars have a higher compression than others and is probably not going to hurt warranty. they said they would gladly replace the motor but i refused to do so

Dyno #'s need to be taken with a grain of salt.

4.5 second 0-60... sketchy at best. I just don't see it being that much of a factory freak.

Just my .02.

Agree! And any higher than 11.5/12:1 compression ratio would more likely than not result in engine knock....We got 11:1, I just cant see it being much higher than 11.5:1 if it was a factory freak.....(maybe the car was blessed by the car gods and it just has a "whoop your ass" kick to it! )

How do you check the compression ratio?

I had a S70 R that did 6.3. It felt faster than my type S. What ever happened to the radar detector sized G-meter anyone still use them? 4.5 mine won't do it.

Feelings can be deceptive, also.

If I got below 5.3 secs 0-60, I'd build an altar to it and kiss it's tailpipes X4.
