2007 and 2008 TL mileage

Official mileage is 18/26 for the 2008 TL (3.2 L engine with auto tranny)... is this inline with what you guys are getting in the real word? I tend to do about 75 % highway in my daily commute and was hoping to hit 30+ HWY.

Thanks for the info, all.

I have a 2006 TL with automatic. The window sticker said 29 highway mpg. I ALWAYS exceed that. Typically I get 32-33 mpg with the cruise set at 70. I've had mpg's as high as 36. The TL is great on higway mileage since the transmission is in overdrive. Just make sure you're using premium gas. Using the cheap stuff costs you mileage.

if i fill up/reset then hit the highway I get 36. Once I hit the side roads I'm down to 20.

Thanks guys - these are the kind of numbers I want to hear (low to mid 30s). Thanks for the info. Now we'll see how low the dealer is prepared to go on the car

don't count on low to mid 30's, once you pass someone on the highway you'll be down to 26/28.

Whew. I thought my 20 mpg was bad (for mix driving, but mostly traffic highway/stop-n-go driving), but I just passed my first 500 miles. So it shall get better now huh?

MiD reports 24-26 mpg here with avg mph 26-28 per tank
What I would call soft driving not pushing hard at all

With 2500+ on my 08' TL-S 6-spd I'm averaging around 26-27 per tank - probably 80% highway driving with some traffic and some side roads. With little highway driving I saw much less (19-20) and when jumping straight onto the highway after a refill/reset I was averaging 32 @ ~70-80mph.

Considering my old 4 banger (2.5l) Sentra got around 16-18mpg around town it's certainly not bad.

I'm averaging about 23 mpg and I drive 130 miles (round trip) each day to work on the turnpike.. I usually cruise around 80-85 so that's why i'm not getting the most out of my tank
