2006 TL Motor mount tips

Good morning gents,
Just finished front and rear motor mounts on my 2006 Acura TL I inherited from my daughter. One thing I must say is she did keep up on oil changes and trans fluid change so overall car is not too bad. 166,000 on the clock. I noticed some engine movement and shake at speed and small clunk. A few things I learned: If you can buy the OEM mount not a bad idea but costly. I used aftermarket duralast on the front mount. It looked fine and made in India. I checked out another one at NAPA and it was made in china and looked cheap so I passed on that one and bought the duralast from Autozone. The front mount I installed no problem after removing the radiator overflow tank and the bolt holding on the cat sensor to make some room to move. No issues but when I went to screw in the top bolt holding the mount to the engine it wouldn't line up. I fooled with moving engine up and down using a jack and block of wood on the oil pan, no luck. I pulled it back out and found out the top bolt hole was acting like it was threaded so it wasn't allowing for a straight alignment. I had to drill out just a hair of the round bolt area and that worked once I reinstalled it. So check all holes on the mount before install On the rear mount you pretty much have to lay on the engine for access after removing the protective covers and tension bar. Also move a few wires and hoses but you do have decent access to work. One thing I struggled with was the hose at the bottom of the mount so I disconnected it from the hose T connection just above the mount and was able to remove it that way. Just wanted to share a few of my struggles. Thanks

Motor mounts on the Honda V6 can be a bear, I did the front motor mount on my '05 Pilot a few months ago. It took quite a bit of time, and the AutoZone mount that I bought didn't line up very well either. But, my guess is partially due to the old mount being just completely destroyed.
Which tension bar did you use to replace the rear engine mount?

@andrewtl96 good afternoon Andrew, what are you referring to as far as tension bar? I replaced the rear mount with an OEM unit. I found that is best way to avoid any future issues.

Thanks

@andrewtl96 the tension bar I am referring to in my comment is the bar you remove at each strut, it is the OEM bar.
