2006 Rear Underbody Question

For anyone who has an A Spec rear bumper installed, can you tell me if the lower center section is removable?

I am working on collecting all the parts for a custom exhaust and would like to tailor the openings to whatever tips I want and not have to live with the existing openings.

Thanks!

The A-spec rear section is 1 piece, ie bottom piece not removable. I suppose you could cut it out, but under the center section is when it connects to the bottom of the car for support. When you put the A-spec on also, there are 4 (I'm pretty sure) holes you need to drill through the original bumper.

Are we talking about the darker gray section shown here....?

The Aspec bumper add on is all one piece.

The 07 TLS rear has larger openings if that is where you are going with the exhaust setup.

Yeah, that's what I am referring to.

I would go for the newer kit but Acura decided to eliminate AM and I wasn't looking forward to the extra cost of painting. color matching etc.

If the 06 part is one piece, is it just painted differently? I still might consider is since it's easier to paint/match a contrasting color than it is to match the body color.

Thanks for the info!
