actually all stock HID lights are 4300K...its the reflection capabilities of the light housing and/or if the light is a projection system that determines if you see a more blue tint from the light - like an Audi or BMW - 4300K lights

here is a good link if you want to read more...

So do you find going to 6000k output gives off a bright blue hue compare to our OEM 4300k which gives off a white hue. I am thinking of changing mine to a 6000k or 8000k just for the hell of it. But don't know if I want to spend $250 bucks for a pair of HID bulbs. Can you post some pics of your car just to see how 6000k would look.

You should check that link I gave...it gives good pics and situations, but basically the higher in K you go, the less light you can see for the road, but the more "blue" the light will look. With the 2nd gen TL's its ok because we have fog lights, but with the 3rd gen, I wouldnt recommend.

If you were to change, dont go above 6000K, they still give a good amount of light output. - still more than a regular halogen bulb

6000k

When I changed to 6000k bulbs......there was a definite difference in blue'ness.......
very blue.....
and brightness...yes...big difference in brightness......

I don't have any pics.... My CL was totalled out a couple months ago.....

I was just asking for the TL.....for the current owners......

So did anyone change their bulbs....to the 6000k on the TL ????

Any group buys????

a while back when i had my CL ...there were group buys going on....for the 6000k bulbs.....
