I know there are a few threads on the topic of the 2004 vs. 2005 All Weather Mats. It seems that the only difference is a hole in the 2005 rear passenger mat to attach the mat to floor.

Has anyone put 2005 All Weather Mats in a 2004? I'd like to know if there are any fitting problems.

The seller says that it is 2005 only. When I asked the seller about this comment he said "The mats will not fit properly. Acura changed the floor and the 2005 mats do not fit the contour of the 2004."

I hope that the only difference is the little hole.

I don't know the exact size, they seem fitted. But I remember 05 mats seem to have extra hole for the hook under chair??

In addition to the hole, the front mats are shaped slightly differently. The 04 mat is on the top. This is the driver's side, but I think the passenger side is also different, but not sure.

The seller may be right about the shape of the floor changing, and that is why the mat is cut differently.

Some people ordered the 2005 mat for their 2004 because they wanted the tan or camel color, and I haven't heard anybody say they didn't fit. Is there someone out there who can confirm this?

I doubt the ebay guy would lie, all he would be doing is loosing money, so my guess is he knows what he is tgalking about.

Thanks for all the replies. I'll try to see if the 2005 mats fit well enough for me at my dealer when I go in for service or next week if I get a chance. I'll let you all know what I think about the 2005 mats in the 2004.

crazymjb, the ebay guy is an Acura Dealer in California, so I figure he does know what he's talking about, but it may only be a slight difference in fit which may not bother me. The guy in the parts department at my dealership didn't really know what the difference is other than the part numbers are different for both years.
