2005 Acura TL - Foglight Installation
Pardon for my noobness, but I own a black a-spec TL without any foglights (http://2005acuratl.com/wp-content/up...08/1863235.jpg). I'm trying to install foglights (to look like this but 3000k http://cdn1.ioffer.com/img/item/797/..._TL_layout.jpg) but I don't know the first thing I should buy! Would I be buying a foglight kit, hid conversion kit, daytime running lights. I'm confused. Would anybody so kindly clarify as to what I should do or give me advice as to what website I should visit to get started? Thanks a lot.

Buy 2003-2005 Sedan Honda Accord fogs.
Most come with the switch, wire harness, and the fogs itself.
You're retrofitting them, basically.
That involves cutting up your lower grills, then mounting them.
The rest is wiring.
There are a few DIYS on this site.

Remember you have to dremel your grill and make them fit lol
That's why we call it retrofitting.

I have not had my fogs installed by him, I have worked with him on some bumper swaps, very friendly guy with a nice family, highly recommended.
FYI: DO NOT BUY THOSE FOGS ON EBAY IF GOING HID!!!! They will have plastic lenses which will melt; you need the REAL OE glass housings, which are usually $100+.

07-08 cant be done with the 05 bumper, but you can do the accord fog light mod that I install. Cutting is required and its a custom fit so everyones will look different. Here is how I do it:
Be-careful who you buy from because I don't get OEM fogs, but I also don't mess with EBAY since most of them are plastic and will burn up. I pay around $80 for the set compared to $50 on ebay, but when the plastic burns or the EBAY ones crack you will be upset that an extra $25-$30 wasn't spent for the quality fogs.
I install these and purchase everything needed for install so you don't have to. Pm me for details and we can set something up. I can located in Central NJ.

It takes about an hour and a half wired up.
It looks nice except one thing. See how mine on the outer edges are pulled out more? I do that because they aren't made for our car and they point out, so the more the inner sides are pushed back and the outer sides are pushed out it will give better lighting. I am not knocking his work, but I know numerous people that get pulled over for these since they for one glare and two point out into on coming traffic.

I had a 2005 NBP TL, which i retrofitted the foggies
Sorry if there's no better pictures.
First I put in some NOKYA bulbs in there, and i bought the fog light housing off EBAY. and damn, it melted like cheese... -_-
So i got another fog light housing, more OEM and bought a type S lower bumper grill from an acurazine member here. and put 8000K HIDs on them and they look great. For the 04-06, the foglight that is integrated into the headlights, i jus put some nokya 35 watts, not 80 watts and left it so it's just an extra light.
Now for my 07 TL Type S I jus put some 10,000K HID's in them and they look O.O cool. haha

Hey el.profe, nice job!! I was about to pay someone to do the whole thing for $230.00. The truth is that you cane get them on EBAY, and if you have some mechanic experience, it should be an pretty easy task. Obviously I learned that after all the great treads posted. Really great feedback from everyone, great job guy's!!
