Are the inside lights on the 2004 the FOG lights? Where the Highbeams normally would be?
If so, do the fogs come on with the headlights? Wouldn't that look like you're driving with the highs on as well, to oncoming drivers? I get flashed enough now in my 2003 TL-S. If people see you coming with all four lights on, they'll think you have your highs on, even if they are just the fogs.
I take it that the low and high beams use the same projector unit.
Can someone tell me how they work?
I'm currently on the waiting list for a 2004 TL, either the dark blue or silver with quartz interior either car. They're both really sharp colors. Navi, and 6MT.... I purchased my 2003 in April of 2002, I should have waited, as I'm totally in love with the 2004. My wife says go ahead and trade up if it's what you want. Thanks hon.

That's right, the inside lights are the fogs. The xenon lights have a built-in mirror to alternate between low beam and high beam.

The thought is to change the fogs to amber bulbs so people know they are fogs!

I do get flashed once in a while if I have them on.

 

i dunno if i should reply to this topic..
but v canadian don't get fog on the TL...v get the Daytime Running Light instead....so.....wut's up with that? difference?? i haven't pick my TL yet...so i couldn't take a look...
also...how hard is it to change the fog bulb for u guys?? is it hard since it's "hidden"??

The worst thing is we don't have 6MT with NAVI. Our "Dynamic" package is 6MT/Brembo/Summer Tires etc Non-Navi. Acura Canada always gives us much less choice including int/ext colors as well. Wish we could buy from the states.
