2004 TL AEM CAI VS. 2005 Mustang Gt
So heading back from work, 10:00 at night on tuesday, I'm behind a 2005 Mustang GT merging onto the highway (same situation, same place as the S2000 last week). He had exhaust and 19 or 20 inch rims. So we both punch it once we merge on. We started at ~100KM/H, I had a quick second, then went to the top of third and rode a bit of fourth until ~200KM/H. From the moment the race started, he started gaining on me very slowly, and I mean slowly. By the time I was at around 6000 RPM's in third he had a car length on me, then I got excited and shifted too early so he gained even more. I shut it down at around 190-200 and took my exit. So ya he beat me by 2 solid car lengths. If it wasn't for my crappy early shift I'm sure it would have been only a 1 - 1.5 length win. He was quick though and although I lost (which was expected racing a 300+Hp V8), I'm still happy with the TL's performace. Gosh I love my TL!

^^wow, nice story man. I've been wanting to race the new GT's for a while now, but so far, no luck. I dont like to start them, i like to finish-um.. But i'm glad to know that the TL keeps up with it. but i think the 19's/20's might have slowed down the GT a bit... Nice race man.

What a rush when sh*t like that happens on the highway! I haven't ran with a GT yet but twice with a V6; both times were close but around 120mph, the TL comes on top. I tend to stay away from rides that have a little more "juice" than what my has. Have fun but keep it safe.
