2004 TL 6sp mt
I just purchased a 6spmt TL(end of oct). Haven't got to drive it since. (had knee surgery)
I noticed that the clutch pedal felt kinda weird. This only happened while I was engaging the clutch with the car in gear. In neutral this doesn't happen. It's almost like a chatter in the pedal. At first I thought it was a release bearing, but then i thought about it some more and realized if it was a release bearing it would do it all the time when i stepped on the clutch pedal and not only when the car is in gear.I figure since its only during engagement it has to be from a worn out DMF.
So, it's prob getting close to a clutch.
Does anybody know for sure of any companies that supply a spring loaded clutch disc? Also, if there is a kit out there do you know if the PP is like the stock self adjusting type .
If I go with an aftermarket flywheel(not a DMF) i would want a springloaded clutch disc.

You can buy a traditional clutch setup from either heel toe automotive or Excelerate performance, both of which are vendors on this forum. Check out Sblaze's type s clutch tread. If you do go to a traditional clutch setup ( sprung disc and non dampened flywheel), you will have to replace the PP, FW and disc. Cost are about double what a stock replacement would be.

Hi speed, you are right. I'
mig0ave done so much research within the last month. I read Sblazes thread already. All the kits I've seen are over a G note and change. It just sucks the way the DMF wears out. If it weren't for the fact that the traditional spring loaded disk costs so much. I'd go with the lightened flywheel for sure. I'll stick to the stock setup. Luk DMF and clutch kit will cost me about $500.
mig0s, its not an issue with air in the system. I have solid pedal feel.
Thanks for the input guys
