Red face 2003 Acura TL Type S VS. EG6

So, I was just cruising down a boulevard enjoying the heater as it was freezing hell outside. Out of no where, i hear a car with a loud intake.. next thing you know.. an eg6 comes from behind me, switches lanes, and flies by me on the left. I'm pretty sure the eg6 was modded although I couldn't really tell (anyways.. those little hatchbacks are pretty quick cause they're lightweight and manual.. and a few little bolt on mods can put them up there with my car).

So I catch up to him and now we are side by side. I decide to floor it down some more until I have passed him. Then I switched over to his lane. Then comes the red light in front of us. I am directly in front of his car as his car is directly in back of mines. This is when I slapped the gear into SS (cause i was in D5 catching up to the eg6), the light turns green and I take off slowly to see what the eg6 will do. It's been quite some time and it doesn't seem like he will do anything because I am just slowing down more and more until he decides to switch lane and pass me. When he had enough of me slowing down so much.. he decided to floor it and switch lanes to the right.. as he went side by side with me (i am in 2nd gear in SS), he gets the jump and I finish him by punching the gas.

What's funny is that my car looks completely stock from the outside besides window visors & nokya 2500k foglights. only performance mods I got were an Injen CAI and XS Power Headers. Damn.. that was so fun.. thought I'd like to share.. And ironically, people with eg6/ek9 swap out their engines with our engines , the J32A2. I love being a sleeper !

Haha nice kill.

I love little civics with there straight pipe 4bangers that think they are faster than everyone. The TL-S will show alot of people their tail lights.

I recommend usuing gate shifting if you are at a light and not sure if the other person will pull or not. SS puts you in 2nd at the worst time and when you floor it, the downshift to 1st kills.

It was probably a stock one with a fart can. A J32a2 in one of them little things will make it go fast.

nice kill. those hondas are the only thing i see in pittsburgh, especially when it comes to mods. all other cars are bone stock ( acuras, nissans, toyotas ) and there always old ppl driving the nice whips and punk kids driving hondas. im waiting for for one to try me.

do not under estimate any civic or integra... ive seen b20 vtec and gsr's hatches walk on 2nd gen TL-S's... Those civics/integra's weigh nothing compared to our cars.. still a nice kill

LOL OP got a sleeper. I hope those are not all the mod you have. If so, you haven't seen a sleeper yet.

One of my buddies up north is in the process of putting a j32 in his EK9. I went to a car meet in Orlando a while back and i seen a 97 integra with a j32 engine. it looked pretty nice.
