Its not really a 1 second advantage. The Jetta shares the same engine and tranny as the GTI and barely weighs more. The Jetta can be a high 14's car driven properly but where you have to watch out is from a dig(the GTI can hit 14.5 stock with the same engine/tranny). That turbo spools up and puts out 200lbs ft of torque around 2000rpm! From a roll I would give it to the TL-S but just don't count the Jetta out from a dig. I bet the TL-S would be playing catch-up and then pulling ahead.

I am pretty sure you can take him, especially since at 160km/h, you are still in 3rd gear.

 

So have you raced him yet? I always see a modded Vr6 everytime I get off work but he looks pretty intimidating so I never go after him............
