1st oil change on the Type S 08

does anybody kno if the oil that the dealership uses is any good? i asked them and they told me they use honda oil? i was wondering if thats just some dumpy oil they give to customers/ they are charging 42.99 for a oil change> is it worth it???

For $42.99 -- > NO!! (unless that also included Tire Rotation, in which case it is a very reasonable price).

For $24.99, maybe.

It's a "synthetic blend", which is your run-of-the-mill dyno oil with additives. A "full synthetic" would cost ~$20 additional.


DIY is really a snap on this car.

Yes you have to make an initial investment in a few simple tools, but beyond that you will get Better Oil, a Better Filter and more care for ~$30 per change.

Too much for an oil change unless it was synthetic which I doubt based on what you have said in your first post.

$43 too much for an oil change?

Going rate in NYC is $70-80 for brand synthetic.
