A 6MT TSX can't keep up with a TL-P?

I've read somewhere that the TL- does 0-60 in 7.4 and 1/4mile in 15.7s, which is on par with TSX 6MT, but I have read somewhere that it's 6.7s and 15.2, which is quite a bit faster.....damn..I can't recall where I saw that....

^It's 6.7 15.2. Some mag did do a test that came out with the first numbers you listed, but they were wrong. The TL-S is capable of mid 14's @98-99mph, even though some intial tests were a little worse than that. Most of the car mags test cars that weren't properly broken in (loaner cars) or brand new and never broken in.

Also I-vtec is so hard to launch with it's electronic throttle. I've driven the TSX and believe me it has very little pull especially when trying to merge onto a highway. Not knocking the car, I respect it's handling and how easy it is to modify, but it's no RSX beating street machine.

BTW, there isn't a 4th gen TL yet buddy.
I'm assuming your talking about the 5AT, right? While your numbers may seem like the TL-P has 20 more horsepower, it actually has less HP at the wheels when compared to the 6MT TSX. If the 225hp figure isn't the SAE corrected figure, the discrepancy is even less at the crank because the TSX would have at least 215 hp under the old rating.

Number aside, I remember having no problem whatsover against my friend's TL-P when I had only an intake. So, I think with lower HP of the TL-P added with the long gears of the slushbox tranny puts a disadvantage when running against a 6MT TSX.
