105k
I plan to do my 105k in the next couple of days, but I'm not too sure of where to go. Acura has a "deal" not including the tensioner for $799 or I can get the whole kit including the tensioner on sale for $233 from rob_acuraoflynnwood, and take it to a shop. A shop in my area quoted me $400 for labor. Is that how much it should be around for labor? Should I trust a shops other than Acura?
Thanks.
Thanks.

400 in labor sounds about right. On whether or not you should trust indy shops- get some advice from local AcuraZiner's in your area and try posting a thread in the regions section of the forum to get advice on good indy shops in your area.
I had my local Acura dealer do it but then again I am really good friends with the service manager and he hooked me up on the labor (total was 550 but they did alot more than just the 105k service). Although he was about 150 more than my trusted indy shop, I got a loaner for a couple of days. Also, I am pretty good about tranny service on my 05 but I like to keep a good relationship with my local dealer just in case I have to get a goodwill tranny (or replacement dash) if mine goes to shit. I am well out of warranty.

$ 400 sounds right for labor but ... how much does your Acura dealer want for the complete 105 service w tensioner ??
You are up to $1500 already and its been a few years but my Acura
dealer quoted $1500 for the complete servive.
I sold the TL instead.
