Ok I just ordered my Hoen Endurance fogs and can't wait until they arrive. I have been looking at these "red" 9005 DRL bulbs for my 07 CBP TL-S. I know everyone was saying that the DRL's only receive half the "volts" compared to the other lights. Does that mean that these would only have an output of approximately 50Watts? Basically I am curious if these high wattage bulbs would melt anything in the headlight housing of the DRL. Thanks.....

Sorry to say but your going to be running into some law enforment problems really soon.

I know it's your car but let me ask you a question why???

100watts I would not put that in my car even if it was for the drl with the low wattage I just don't want to risk melting the housing and having to replace both headlights or wiring for some cheap 17.99 bulbs

Regardless post picks so we can all see what yah did to the car

On another not maybe it's time for me to upgrade my car to a BMW since our cars seem like there loosing there class and value with theses Audi looking LED strips and crazy colored lights it's getting a little ricey in here

I'm sure more than 1/2 of AZ members have something on their cars that isn't "legal." But it's a risk we take on having our cars how we want them. I dont plan on buying the bulbs anymore but curious if someone had done something similar with higher wattage bulbs in the DRL.
