very weird, it's got like a base front end, and tl-s rear end (quad tips, tails ect) the interior (clock) pic seems to be amber too.. probably someone swapped parts before putting it for sale
edit: actually, there are more pictures of it if you click teh arrow, in one pic it does have the fogs and stuff.. the interior is a type-s.. it might seem like the FIRST picture is a base TL (accidentally put up) because the rims dont look like waffles on that first pic, but i can't really tell from that angle either..

if you ask me , the dealer is fishy for trying to list it as a type s and a 2008,. i smell a lemon.
and....if you look closer, the first pic is a real type s with the turn signal in the mirror with the type s rims.. and in the second pic the car gots a different set of rims which means the dealer just stole the pictures..

The other pics show a 07-08 bumper, and the clusters also look like an 07-08 model.... so it just might be ... check the spacings between the grooves to make sure it wasnt involved in any accidents.

the points you've guys mentioned got me thinking about it. seems fishy. wouldnt hurt to give em a visit and take a look at the car if your close, if it ends up being a real tl-s, would be a real good deal.

I believe it's probably a Type-S but the previous owner took the Type-S headlights and put base model head lights in it.
Also took the Type-S front bumper and put a 07-08 base bumper on it.
The seat patterns, interior clusters and color, door panels designs are all correct and look Type-S. Only things that are off is the front bumper and headlights.
Only way to truly tell if it's a Type-S is to pop the hood and look at the engine.

The description says it has a J35A2 engine.
J32A
The J32A displaces 3.2 L (195 cu in) and is a SOHC VTEC design. Bore is 89 mm (3.5 in) and stroke is 86 mm (3.4 in). Output was 225 hp (168 kW) for the J32A1, with the J32A2 raising output to 260 hp (194 kW) @ 6200 rpm and 232 lb·ft (315 N·m) @ 3500-5500 rpm. A more aggressive camshaft, more free flowing intake/exhaust, and a 2-stage intake manifold all result in a 35 hp (26 kW) increase over the J32A1. The J32A3's output in the 2004/2005 TL is 270 hp (201 kW). SAE corrected hp for the 2006-2008 TL is 258 hp (192 kW). The J32A3 also includes the one-piece exhaust manifold cast with the cylinder head, first introduced on the J30A4.
J32A1
J32A3
The J35A displaced 3,471 cc (3.471 L; 211.8 cu in) and is an SOHC VTEC design. Bore is 89 mm (3.5 in) and stroke is 93 mm (3.7 in). Output was 210 hp (157 kW) for the J35A1; 240 hp (179 kW) and 253 lb·ft (343 N·m) (5800/4400 rpm) for the J35A3; 240 hp (179 kW) and 242 lb·ft (328 N·m) (5500/4500 rpm) for the J35A4.
The J35A5 used in the 2004 - 2006 Acura MDX produces 265 hp (198 kW) at 5800 rpm and 250 lb·ft (340 N·m) at 3500 rpm. The 2003 version of this engine produces 260 hp (194 kW) at 5750 rpm.
The new J35 used in the Acura RL produces 290 hp (220 kW) at 6200 rpm and 256 lb·ft (347 N·m) at 5000 rpm. This engine was on the Ward's 10 Best Engines list for 2005, 2008 and 2009.
The J35A8 used in the 2007-2008 Acura TL Type-S produces 286 horse power (213 kW) and 256 lb•ft (347 N•m). of torque.
The J35A9 used in the 2006 - 2008 Honda Ridgeline produces 247 hp (184 kW) at 5750 rpm and 245 lb·ft (332 N·m) at 4500 rpm.
The J35A3 was also used by General Motors in the 2004-2007 Saturn Vue, though it utilized the cast-iron crankshaft from the J35A4 rather than the forged-steel version of the J35A3. GM refers to it as the L66. Honda Marine uses this engine for their 200 and 225 HP outboard engines.
J35A8
I didn't knew either that The Gen 3 TL Type S came along as a mid-model 'refresh' for 2007 & 2008 so there are no 2004,2005,2006 type-s models. Everyday you learn something :p

This.
There is one picture of a non-Type-S.
However, if you look at the other pictures, it's an automatic with Brembo calipers. That's a Type-S. Also the guage cluster has the "brushed, smoked" aluminum guages.
However, that car is at a low price for some reason. Not sure what, but something.

Does not belong. Should not even be there. It looks like they included a pic of a different car. Why?
![Dunno](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/dunno.gif)
I'd be more worried about the CarFax explaining why a low(er) mile TL-S is priced under $18 - $20k. Wanna bet it's a Salvage or Flood title? Or had major accident repairs?
Edit:
![rofl](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)
They're just dumb asses. They've got a 2nd Gen TSX "Type-S" - and it's got Accord Pics mixed in with it. AND the EXACT same mileage as the TL-S.

For the Accord it says:
.... All cars have a reconstructed title but have all passed state inspection and are ready to be registered and insured! ....

I live the next town over. I will take a ride by tomorrow. I'd go by tonight, but I know dealers in Lawrence, MA lock their cars up at night. Lawrence has the most car theft per capita in the United States. It's kinda funny that Lawrence is surrounded by some of the nicest towns in MA.

Ya think?
Why people bother to post and then MAYBE read the thread afterwards is beyond me.

The paint all over the car had a sand paper like feel to it as if the non-damaged body parts weren't ever covered whilst spraying the replacement parts.
All in all, if it looks too good to true it probably is

I believe it's probably a Type-S but the previous owner took the Type-S headlights and put base model head lights in it.
